Trouble selecting neutral on GZ125

Recommended Posts

I have the Suzuki Marauder GZ125, 58 plate with 6000 on the clock, rides fairly well but come across possibly a slight problem in that it can be very sensitive to get into neutral, I eventually can get the neutral light to come onl, not what I was expecting as the bike I learnt on just fell into neutral. To further compound the problem I have found that as well as being sensitive I can get it into neutral and the green light doesnt show as being in neutral. Has anybody come across this problem?

Usually its down to the chain so check the tension is correct, could also be due an oil change.

I also have a marauda-1998 250 with 30,000 on the clock,i do regular oil changes and general maint,i have the same situation as yours and its just the Suzuki gremlin for that bike.mine is slightly worse after I ride for a day 100-200 ks,shifting is easy but tempermental try to slot into neutral.because I love the bike so much I put up with it and be patient...ken

I have the same problem with mine, too, always have. I do find that regular chain and clutch cable/lever maintenance improves it, but the problem never goes away entirely.
