Needed a trusted mechanic in manchester area!

Hi guys,

Hope i'm writing in the right section - I am an italian guy in manchester and I commute using a sym symply scooter 4T (the slowest thing ever seen! :) ). Apart of that, now I need some maintenance as has problems to start in cold mornings and need to fully derestrict it.

Anyone could advice/suggest me a good reliable honest mechanic in manchester area? Someone suggested already me Rob from "sport and custom motorbikes" which seems to be very professional and honest but turned me down saying he doesn't operate on chinese/Taiwanese machines (also was very busy)! :?

Much better if specialised on Chinese/taiwanese bikes!

Thanks! :thumb:

It's not restricted. It's a four stroke. It really is that slow.

Try servicing it yourself, new plugs, oil, and oil/air filters. See if that improves the starting.

Thanks mate for your kind answer but now unfortunately I need a real mechanic :crybaby: as just yesterday, I believe I most likely half seized the cylinder of my scooter.

That happened while cruising at full speed (38 miles per hour!!) , all the sudden I heard an engine cut so I stopped... I had to wait several hours to be able to rev on again the engine but now seems to make a different noise and performance are even poorer than before!

I was thinking to replace cylinder and piston but I am not really experienced enough... Is any trusted and honest mechanic around which could give me a quote? Could be also a smart guy who knows where to put his hands

i will bring the scooter without fairings so could be an easier job...

Thank you :thumb:
