igingeee Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 (edited) Hi all,After some second opinions on what combination of biking gear to purchase next, recent warm temperatures has left me wondering if it would be best to start commuting in some kevlar jeans and a street boot as opposed to full textiles and sport styled boot. Also walking around town in full textiles is a pain and would be nice to have something less heavy and full on, easier to walk around in and look less like a spaceman all the time.I already have a full set of textiles and sport boots, the third option is more to upgrade the level of armour and protection as well as just to match the rest of my already upgraded gear.. more for looks than really required (although my boots will probably need replacing soon, current ones are literally falling apart).Any opinions, thanks. Glorian Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 On nice days, i wear a pair of kevlar jeans (which have inserts for armour if i want them) and a leather jacket boots and gloves.Bear in mind that kevlar jeans are almost if not as heavy as any textiles would be. but you will look better if you get a good cut. Guest Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Covec Bull-it Jeans could be an option.I'm hopefully picking up a couple of pairs soon to give them a try. The science and information on them looks good.I've just done a little more reading and I think the bit that will seal the deal for me is they come in stronger and lighter than Kevlar jeans. Quote
