Azen Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Hi guys has anyone been there or used it? I have my Mod 1 booked there for 22nd and was aftersome information like what there pass rates are like and such. and what the instructors are like on the Mod2. Quote
Ian_1986 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I done both my Mod1 and Mod2 at the st helens test centre. I have no idea what there pass rates are like maybe you could google them to find out although that wont reflect if you will pass or not. Mod1 went ok apart from the start where he was suspicious about my gloves, he was under the impression they were ski type gloves for some reason but either way got on to the test area and passed it.Mod2 was ok had some big guy who followed me on a bike but ive heard they can follow in a car. Ended up going the wrong way on the ride but he just took me another way. Also i think the instructors can do mod 1 or mod 2 so you may well end up with the same guy twice. Good luck with the test Quote
Azen Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Thanks Ian, Looking forward to it got a lesson on Sunday then my mod1 on Wednesday then Mod 2 the Thursday after I really need to pass I have my xj600S just sat off in the garden waiting for my to ride it! Quote
Woodman Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 The guy I had looked really stern and he came in with a lad who had just failed.I passed and tbh he was business like but not as grumpy as he first looked. This wasn't St Helens btw but just to say that don't get worried if the instructor looks like Bronson from Grange Hill Quote

Brendan110_0 Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I passed at St Helens, examiner was called Rob, found him to be very fair. Two of us were booked in for the test with me to go second, the way the first guy rode even had me knowing he was going to fail, very hesitant getting up to speed on the way to the test centre he actually failed on a missing lifesaver going back into test centre car park I failed twice in 2010 on what I considered minor things (put me off re-taking for years!), pass rates then were around 45% in general. They now seem more relaxed and pass rates are about 65%. Quote
