Hello guys,

I was wondering if some of you could give me tips for how to treat my leather jackets against water. I have two jacks, but they are not specifically made water proof. What do you use to keep you dry if you don't have rain suit and do you apply something on the leather after rain?

Thanks,

I use this. http://www.barefootleather.co.uk/leathe ... fing-Cream

though any 'good quality' saddle soap with a high neatsfoot oil component will do the job just as nicely. be careful though.. it tends to darken leathers which may not be desirable if they're light coloured. The better quality saddle soaps will clean the leather and give it a water resistant coating. making leather truly waterproof isn't really possible.

you can get these items from a local 'tack' shop.. horse owners need really excellent products to look after their saddles - some of which are excruciatingly expensive.
