Faulty indicator

Evening all,

I'm determined to maintain the basics on my bike without taking it the garage so need some advice regarding an indicator problem.

My bike is a Kymco Pulsar 125 but I think the problem could be a common issue.

My left indicator works just fine, but I have an intermitant fault on the right. I have one relay that works both and it gives off the noisy click when flashing. When I turn the switch to the right sometimes it works and others it doesn't, and I've noticed that it is affected when I turn the handle bars as far as they go. It seems to be quite sensitive in terms of when the fault occurs but then I can also have a good old fiddle with the wires and this makes no difference. I noticed this evening that both the front and rear bulb was actually flashing but so faintly if you didn't look closely you wouldn't see it. So there is obviously power getting to the lights but not enough.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to biking and enjoying looking after my bike, I've recently changed both sprockets and chain as well as the rear damper.

Many thanks

Paul

i would start by checking the earths to the indicators and the connection to the relay as it sounds like its pulling a wire tight to the point of almost breaking when bars are turned one way

I've had a lot of experience with motorbikes. Check the connections first then if that does not work just get a new indicator for your local shop. Hope it all goes well and you get you indicator working again.
