pjgtech Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I had a week in Wales last year, it was very pleasant. Weather was nice, dry and warm too (June 2014). We had three days in South Wales, then another 3 days in North Wales.Tenby is nice in South Wales, as was the Gower Peninsula - The Mumbles, nice scenery. Barmouth and Anglesey are nice in North Wales. Obviously Snowdonia is worth a look, as is Portmerion (sp?).NB: Great road to drive in Wales is the B4560 thru the Brecon Beacons (From Beaufort, A465 to Talgarth, A479 = 40 mins and 17 miles) one of National Geographic magazine’s top 10 drivesin the World. Some nice biking roads generally.... Remy Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Welsh roads are in the main fab - north and mid Wales are my playground . So many places with wonderful scenery, the Ponderosa cafe at Horseshoe Pass a very good base for exploring (think it does B&B too). Elan Valley in Mid Wales is worth a look Quote
Zod Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Was around the Brecon area on Sunday having went to the Owl's Nest in Llandovery then headed up to Builth Wells and headed back home through Brecon...Mind you the fog was a bitch but oh well. Quote
