Taking the entire exhaust off this Saturday to get the collector box worked on.

To remove the bolts that go into the engine I have heard several different things, I am currently putting a rust remover/penetrating fluid on the bolts over the next few days, I then plan to run the engine for 20-30mins to warm it up and then crack the bolts open with my socket wrench (with hex key attachment).

Any other recommendations, tips, suggestions will be appreciated so I don't fudge this up :thumb:

That pretty much it.

Once you go to put the bolts back in put some copper slip on to help prevent them seizing afterwards

Or alternatively put studs in and use brass nuts.

The brass nuts will thread if they become seized before any damage to the stud thread, so all you would need to do is replace the brass nuts in that case.

It's a common mod and prevents the problem with the bolts seizing.

Yep I'd heard that to, copper grease on the bolts, I asked engineering dept at work as they're all car/bike nuts.
