hey guys, i am going to pick my bike up tomorrow after my longggggg holiday, i am super excited, but the only concern y friend brought up is, what if my bike's battery has died, and i am just wondering if tomorrow i get to my friend's house and it is dead, what should i do? thanks guys

It should be okay as long as you don't have anything to drain the battery like an aftermarket alarm. However if the battery is dead put the bike in second gear and get your mate to push you down the road, make sure the key is in and ignition is switched to on then when you have some speed release the clutch and it should start the engine Then just go for a long ride 30miles should do it.

do i just fill up the petrol after i get home or do i have a buy a battery charger if i actually have to push start my bike? cheers

If the bike starts on a bump and you get the long ride in, as Adam has suggested, then you shouldn't need a new battery. My battery went flat once when I left the parking light on. Bumped it and rode home about 20 minutes, and she started again two hours later no trouble.


If the battery keeps going flat for no apparant reason then maybe you would need a new one or investigate a possible short draining the battery. Personally I doubt there will be a problem though.
