hardleydavidson Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Hi,I am trying to remove my very rusty mirrors but they won't budge. As far as I can tell the arm has a threaded sleeve that I have managed to unscrew but the arm itself won't move, are the arms screwed in as well? At the moment they're soaked in wd40 in the hope I'll be able to unscrew them. Any ideas on how to remove them? Quote

Any ideas on how to remove them? if theyare similar to mine . undo the lock nut and then holding the mirror stationary, undo the bolt on the mount. mine has 2 opposite threds so when you unwind the mirror, the securing piece in the brake/clutch lever mount has an opposite thread... just an idea Quote
hardleydavidson Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Ah, that might well explain it, makes total sense seeing as the locking nut is normal Quote
