MarkW Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 On my way home from Folkestone yesterday I popped into London to check out a photography exhibition at the Jewish Museum in Camden Town. The very large and very friendly lady at the ticket desk was getting increasingly frustrated with the debit card machine, which had apparently been playing up all day. Finally she said "Honestly, I've had so much how's-your-father this morning you wouldn't believe it!" Quote
Guest Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Its been such a long time since I heard that expression.. I'm thinking some "carry on" film or other and its at least 16yrs since i wilfully exposed myself to one of those.I had to look it up.And then had a terrible urge to break out the hob nobs and watch Hylda Baker videos on YouTube. Im now discovering that Hylda Baker doesn't mix well with Hennessey VS and hob nobs.curse you. Quote
Fozzie Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I had to look that up as I've never heard it before When was that a regular turn of phrase? And were pyramids "a thing" when i was? Quote
