Maxw Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 HiI have a Honda CG 125 1993.I attempted to clean the carb today due to rough running, however when I put it back on, I kick started the bike, it went mental, red lining with no throttle on.I turned it off at the ignition however it continued to run, therefore I put the choke fully on and this stifled it somewhat. It didn't shut off still though, so I turned the fuel off, and it eventually stopped.I waited a while, turned the fuel back on, released the choke & started it up,m. Again the same issue persisted. However this time when I turned it off at the iginition it shut off almost as usual. Is there something blidingly obvious which I have done wrong?Could someone point me in the right direction to start troubleshooting? Thanks in advance! stutgart69 Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 have you re-connected the throttle cable back onto the carbs correctly? When you twist the throttle grip on the handle bar and let it go again, does the throttle snap back onto the idle screw on the carb? Quote
Maxw Posted May 28, 2016 Author Posted May 28, 2016 Found the problem - had inserted the throttle needle slider the wrong direction. Turned it round 180 degrees and it worked perfectly! Quote
