thanks for the links but I could not open the pdf a message appeared saying Clymer has removed this due to digital copyright ,can you tell me ,if they are adjustable ,I put the question to another bike forum and they said they are non adjustable ,you set them up then adjust them and that's it ,are they right

Yes ,they are automatic, have taken off the clymer but the other manual still works.Bill

H FMF, just a thought about cam-chain tensioning. In most every engine the tensioner (manual or auto) presses against a chain slide made from a nylo/plastic material. Being made out of this kind of stuff, over the years it wears and if left long enough actually breaks up, so maybe it would be a good idea to the condition of the slides, as well as the tensioner.
