In our 2019 Superbike Shootout at Thunderhill Race Park, we put the 1100 Factory to the test between the Ducati Panigale V4 S and BMW S 1000 RR (see the Aprilia’s hot lap here). Compared to the others, the 1100 Factory made all three test riders comfortable with its rideability and confident in its planted chassis and smooth, raw speed—and it clocked the fastest lap time of the three—which conclusively led to it being the winner of the comparison.

2019 saw the brand boost up the displacement for the Factory model by adopting the same engine architecture as the Tuono V4, bringing displacement to an oversize 1,078cc. so Naturally, we just had to have the machine on our in-house dyno. The rear wheel figures were a whopping 189.99 hp at 13,490 rpm and 82.09 pound-feet of torque at 9,770 rpm.
