Year after year the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show aligns with MotoGP at COTA to make one of the best two-wheeled weekends in America. This year was no different as thousands of motorcycle fans from all avenues of the sport flocked to Texas.

The Handbuilt Show is put on by Revival Cycles to celebrate—you guessed it—hand-built motorcycles. Some of the best builders from around the world bring bikes to Austin for this event, and the variety of styles is rarely seen at other motorcycle shows. From electric supermoto to turbo-charged Indian Chief, the 2022 edition had something for everyone.

Handbuilt took place in the Statesman building as it has for years now, located right on the Colorado River in the heart of Austin. Outside in the parking lot, Zooz Bikes offered ebike demo rides and races around hay bales. BMW and Indian Motorcycle were there as well, offering demo rides on their newest platforms.

As we’ve come to expect from the team at Revival, each bike was well lit and on a raised display. There was plenty of open room for people to move around and check out each bike from every angle.

Many of the builds we’ve been watching unfold through the past years of COVID and quarantining were there in person. Now it’s a proven fact that if you make people stay home for extended periods, some of them will produce incredible motorcycles.
