is q8 coolant alrite to jus put in the bike or do i need to add water?

are rite so its premixed. sometimes if im in traffic or getin the bike up my garden hill to the shed when it gets too hot the coolant is boiling, literally bubbling. and ive never heard my fan come on :S

check the fuse is ok for your fan it could of blown

it could be the thermostat as well is sticking closed especially if it does it in a quick space of time

or the fan sender unit is not working .. try locating this and bypass the two wires that are attached ( connect them together with the ignition switched on and see if the fan works then )

and as above check fuse .....

and otherwise to ascertain that the fan is working so try to work out which is the power supply cable for it ( +ve ) and add a direct feed to that from battery to test BUT make sure that you have the +ve side not -ve otherwise arc welding r us if that dont work leave the +ve supply fixed on and add an earth feed (-ve) if after these tests the fan still fails you know its likely a new fan is required

have you tried to turn the fan blades manually ( with no power turned on or on a hot engine) to see if they actually turn ?

could be the seal in the pressure cap on the radiator isn't sealing. lower pressure = lower boiling point.

would the fan not operating make the coolant boil? if not. looks like i have a prob with my coolant system as well as the fan. plenty to do this winter ffs lol
