GS750 GL - Partly a Project

Got this GS750 GL from my father and have been doing some changes to it so it suits me a little more (keeping all original parts that I have however safely in storage).
Mainly I have changed the handlebars to a lower set by LSL (need to work on some bar end weights that are a little too wide for the internal diameter). My dad had two copper plates put on the sides with push fits due to the original side panels not being there, and the exhaust is a 4 into 1 but I plan to get the 4 into 2 set from the old man to clean that up and put the original back on (with some aftermarket silencers).
Ran into a few parts I've had to change out, and a few things that need a good look at; I was hoping maybe someone on here would have some solutions they could throw at me!

I've found the plastic throttle tube is somewhat broken, so I need to source a replacement that would fit in the throttle housing.
It was a US import so I have a US speedo unit on there, need to change the clutch cable to a shorter one (I have that on order) and need to tidy it all up (once I fix the throttle).

But yeah if anyone has any suggestions about the throttle tube, I am all ears!!

I'll take a look tomorrow, especially at that replacement tube.
I was so worried about ordering the wrong part. Finding some of the parts for the GS750, 850 and 1100 is like trying to find hens teeth
