R9XDG Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Hi all, I wanted to write a post about my experience with the DVSA’s theory test and hazard perception test kit. Long story short- it’s worth every penny and I’d highly recommend anyone preparing for their theory and hazard perception to pay for it when booking their theory. You can choose how long you want to buy it for (I chose 90 days as my theory is booked for January 4th). For the theory part it has a presentation for each area of study (group of questions) that is delivered in a way that makes the information very easy to absorb. After you have studied you move onto basically learning every question and answer in the DVSAs theory bank, again this is learnt and absorbed very easily through their learning material. For the hazard perception side they guide you through different types of hazards and what to look for on the test. On top of this they guide you on how to score top marks for every type of hazard, think of it as hitting the “sweet spot” when you click. I started using this around 3 weeks ago and have finished all the study material. I have now done 5 of each test (theory questions and hazard perception) and scored 100% on every one. The tests are set out exactly the same as they are in the test centre preparing you that little bit more for the day. The best part is that I have been a car driver for 17 years and learnt a lot of new information through this (and some bits I needed a refresh on) and learnt loads about being a rider that I feel has prepared me well for my CBT and lessons after that. So yeah if you’re getting ready for your theory I’d recommend this all day long. https://www.safedrivingforlife.info/shop/official-dvsa-theory-test-kit-motorcyclists-elearning/ 3 Quote
Johnny.H Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Snap, used the same same kit ans passed first time today, easy! Now to find a CBT/direct access provider 4 Quote
Johnny.H Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Thanks Simon, The questions in the kit were very similar to the ones in the actual test, some were even the same, so it's a really useful tool. The hazard perception clips in the test I found were easier than the ones in the kit, clearer and slower, and I'd practiced them to death so was well prepared, scored 66 out of 75. Although I was a little nervous to begin with I really enjoyed doing the test, especially once I'd started and found how similar the questions were to the kit 3 Quote
bud Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 It sounds like a great idea. Anything that saves you having to do a retest. Is making it worth the initial outlay. 1 Quote
