VOGE R125 Side LEDs

Hi,

 

I recently purchased my first bike, a VOGE R125 (absoloute love it btw). I noticed it has on the side some LEDs that are deactivated in the UK for some reason, anyone know why this is and is it possible to re-activate them?

Here is the MOT test regarding lights. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/mot-inspection-manual-for-motorcycles/4-lamps-reflectors-and-electrical-equipment

If it's the ones on the top of the headlight fairing. I guess it's because all white lights should be facing the front.
