Simon Davey Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Difficult to summarise that viewing, it was quite emotional, and full of wow, and wonder. I watched it through to the end, I was so enthralled/captivated by every aspect of the story, from the treatment of the black airmen, who despite segregation managed to deal with racism (an understatement) and fly escorts with more professionalism than their white counterparts, resulting in a heroic reputation. Then the incredible power and determination of Don Hinz and those that helped, to tell that story by flying the restored aircraft around the USA. I shed a tear to see Ben Hinz watching the aircraft that his father died in fly again, thus ending one chapter whilst another starts, and the story continues to be told. Thank you @Tinkicker 1 Quote
