acemastr Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I can't wait, get to show off the new bike some more It's only a Honda, come on now. If it were a Suzuki, we all know you'd be ten times more excited to show it off. If it was a Suzuki it would have rusted away by now
Seabluegal Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 My Suzuki hasn't rusted away and it's 11 years old...!!!
Ash Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 That's because you only ride it if it's 20 degrees + and the sun is shining
Guest Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 it's actually to do with the powers of the special "S" badge.A well known fact within motorcycle circles is that any lesser badge, espcially Honda, Kawasaki, Aprilla etc all cause nasty yeast infections and general ill health in their riders. I knew this, as I felt ill until I got a Suzuki. Since then, all has been well. I thank you.
Seabluegal Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 You know what Gubba, you are so right. But Ash is right too - I do only ride it if the sun is shining, but to be fair I will go out in anything over 15 degrees, as long as it's not windy.
Seabluegal Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 You are clearly a proper biker.I am definitely not.
Guest Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 i went out at the weekend, 5 degrees with a significant wind that caught me out a couple of times on roundabouts! Ursula behaved though.
Seabluegal Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Sounds terrible.Suzy is due out this weekend for her MOT. I'm not sure how she will cope. She has been hibernating for so long in the warm garage...
Guest Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Suzy? I don't believe that's it's name.I have a funny feeling it was "Sigmund"
Seabluegal Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Gubba - I think you'll find that Laura and I hold the authority on naming bikes. You should remember your place!
acemastr Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I won't go out in anything below 3c anymore, it can still be icy and there's no way i'm risking dropping my (unnamed) baby.
Guest Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I won't go out in anything below 3c anymore, it can still be icy and there's no way i'm risking dropping my (unnamed) baby. I didn't know you were a dad! congratulations. Does it not say on the birth certificate what it's name is?!oh, and to avoid dropping, use a pram/buggy. This will help in icy conditions, but you are still as likely to fall over.
Guest Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 come on Jayne, think of a new name for A's bike!
Seabluegal Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 That's a good point actually, Twinkles has gone hasn't she!Laura and I will brainstorm some new names tonight... I think we already had a few ideas at the Marina a few weeks back.: wicked laugh :
Guest Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 so....."tiny" it is. Classic.have a good weekend all. Might be about sunday afternoon for a ride, however, I might be catching up on some sleep!
Seabluegal Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Yes of course, we should confirm...Aaron's (acemastr) bike is officially named Tiny.He should be very proud.

Ash Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Was out running lastnight and saw a group of three sports bikes heading towards the Marina, so it may be starting to pick up again.
