Suzuki DR350 Power issues

Recommended Posts

My dr350 is having problems with power loss during acceleration, as in it has none and it stops

if i pull the choke it will rev up and although i Know i shouldnt if i spray brake cleaner into the

air box and open the throttle it also will accelerate I have tried to fix this by.

The fuel seems to be free flowing into the bowl And yes it is petrol in the tank.

# changing the spark plug

# checking the air filter and pipe for blockages

# pulling the carby and stripping then brake cleaning everything

I hope someone can help

Thanx

well i think you've prooved it's a fuel issue already. i'm not sure brake cleaner is the stuff to using on the carb though... :?

i'd suggest you get some proper carb cleaner and do it again. you may of disturbed the pilot jet position so get a manual and verify the settings. it's usually 1 to 1.5 turns out from fully closed. it could also be the carb not fitted correctly to the cylender or the rubber mounting may have cracks in it (lets air in without going via the carb)

does the DR 350 have a switch/lever to aid starting (compression lever to aid Kicking over big singles) could this be stuck,

and or is the engine cold, you say that the choke helps?
