We had a problem at The Tap in Eastham a few years back with people pulling inappropiate stunts which led to a couple of pedestrians being seriously injured. The way Merseyside police handled it was superb and I only wish some other forces would use it a perfect example of how to police a bike meet.

They didn't hammer everyone for dark visors, number plates, exhausts etc. They simply sent a couple of officers down to talk to riders , one one his own bike, and as a consequence they got full cooperation from everyone there. The guilty party had the book thrown at them , was suitably informed by the regulars that his antics were far from welcome and the problem has not re-occured. Good solid old fashioned policing that WORKED.
