Guest akey Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Can we have some more info please. How long is forever, what conditions, what are the symptoms if you come off choke to early, what are you comparing it against etc. Quote
Guest Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 (edited) Takes around 5-10 minutes to warm up - if you drop the choke beyond mid it just sputters and trys to die or dies.I'm comparing it to a mates CB 400 Super Four (both are Super Fours) on which we can drop the choke to nothing after a minute without any grumbles (this is standing still at the end of the drive last night)We started her on a warm day . . . Guest Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I've cleaned the carbs + its a 1993 bike not the older type and therefore called the CB 1 Quote
Guest akey Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Thanks, OK sounds like its the carb setup, I would reset the carbs as per haynes manual and then adjust. Might be worth checking the carb balance as well (sorry cant remember if the super4 is multi carb).Have you checked air filter as well? is it standard and clean, if its running a free flowing filter this could have been done without reseting the carbs.
