  1. I have been away in Benidorm for the last week with the wife and kids as a last big family holiday. Unless you are happy being drunk constantly and sat around a pool don't bother going! Anyway I suffer from IBS and have it under control with exercise and eating thye right things so all was well until about Wednesday when I got the familiar rumbling and pains so I took some pills to stop it in its tracks. I did the same on Saturday as well but the draw back is I have been up for the last 2 hours sat no further than 12 feet from the toilet as the last 5 days worth of intake is leaving my body on the liquid express train! There is o possible way I can have this much brown fluid in my body! Honestly I feel like I have been gang raped by a dozen burly prisoners Im supposed to be going swimming in an hour but I cant tell the difference between a fart or a dump at the moment and I don't think that the pool people would be too appreciative of brown rocket fuel propelling me up the pool! Its a catch 22 as I need to exercise to stop the flow but cant move very far from the toilet and im back to work this afternoon! Oh no here I go again but at least I will have some time to sit and think of a way out of this
  2. Ahem any chance of a card please as this Landrover rebuld is costing me a fortune
  3. When I was younger the world was there for the taking and nothing would stop me from travelling or going faster than was safe. Death happened to others and wasn't in my grand plan. I hit 40 last year and along with a nice mid life crisis I realised the world is still there for the taking but its full of idiots that you must account for. We had kids young so they are off doing their own stuff most of the time so Wifey and I get to go out on the bike more. We also fill the weekends up with being out and about just looking at the world and what it has to show. The odd lazy day is now a real treat! The biggest part of getting over my mid life crisis was realising that if my faith is wrong and there is nothing else after this life of mine I will know exactly nothing about it! Get out, see whats there don't just look and a little bit of regular exercise can make you feel a whole lot better! Oh and the aches do last longer.....and the bruises takes weeks to heal lol
  4. Superb stuff and im glad its going well! Long hours are my norm but if you are happy in your job then that's all that matters!
  5. Happy to be helped chap Thanks again!
  6. It was in a block connector. The wire had moved back a bit causing it to arc and burn the connector a touch. We had to push the wire all the way back in and reconnect the block together and hey presto all sorted
  7. A MASSIVE THANK YOU to acting_strange for his welcoming company, excellent knowledge and for fixing my headlights I have learnt a few new things today about my bikes electrics so have more of a sporting chance of fixing it at home in the future! Just goes to show this forum is spot on and the folks here are superb! I shall pass on the experience gained today to the next poor clueless bugger that comes along
  8. Best be teaching myself how read these wiring diagrams properly I think!
  9. I have checked bith of the bulbs again chap and they are fine. Still third times a charm!
  10. I may take you up on that kind offer chap but im working until next weekend now apart form tomorrow which is already packed busy with family stuff!
  11. I took the bulbs out and physically looked at the elements and they are fine. Relay???? I have to find a relay as well!!! lol Havnt had a chance to pick up a multimeter yet and it doesn't help that I am pants with electrics. Now how much would a new bike be.....
  12. Separate fuses and the switch was cleaned up and put back together...still doesn't work lol Best go and buy a multimeter.
  13. OK folks thanks I will start with the switch as the bulbs are both ok There's a hell of a lot goes through to that switch though I bet I bugger it up! lol
  14. My headlights are playing up. They will only work on full beam theres nothing on main beam at all. I have checked the bulbs they are fine and run through the wiring and there is nothing amiss there that I can see so I am really at a loss as what to do! Anyone got any ideas? It would also appear that my old bike has been in a major accident at some point with all sorts of damage under the fairing that I wasn't aware of Looks like a right mess under there! So if you could all shout any ideas at me it would be much appreciated
  15. Thanks Stu for letting me post this! I work for DHL and they do loads of charity stuff and I mean loads! it's actively encouraged to get involved so I applied for a place on The Outward Bound Trust for this coming Oct and much to my surprise they have offered me a place! The week I am covering offers 13-15 year olds an outdoor break to kids that would other wise not get the chance of a holiday. Now its not all fun fun fun but is also hard work and should hopefully give these guys some skills they can take away and use in life. We are going to be hiking and camping in the Snowdonian Mountains for a couple of days as well as kayaking, rock climbing, sailing etc. Now we volunteers have to each raise at least £500 each by August to fund the kids places and I will be doing car boots etc as well as stupid nominations (nothing dangerous) in fact there is already one nomination that I ride up and down Matlock Bath front in a TuTu so if I hit my target I will do it with pictures to prove it! If you folks could see your way to following the link below and donating a pound or two it would be really appreciated! Just give me a shout if you want to know more or have a daft idea on how to raise cash! http://www.justgiving.com/Nick-Smith29
  16. Congrats Stu & Tracey, like you will see much of the island
  17. Yep spot on. Seemed like a good base to explore from Thanks for all of that! We will be exploring as well even though the kids think we are sitting around a pool all day LOL
  18. Wheres the best place to buy a baseball bat because my daughters are all legs arse and tits now so I will need something solid to keep the lads away Anything you recommend doing whilst there?
  19. We have been saving since Christmas for one last take the three girls as they are getting to be all grown up on holiday abroad. It had to an an " All inclusive" as they have never had that before as I prefer to rent a villa and a car and explore, Wifey and the girls though have informed me that it has to be a hotel pool type holiday...Yawn. So for the last couple of weeks I have been looking and hunting but my what a mess it is out there on the holiday hunt. So many little firms with bad reps and some of the big ones are no better! I had a running with Teletex holidays about price changes after I agreed to book at a set price on the Thursday when I called back with the reference number on the Saturday. The price had jumped by over £800 !!!!! Needles to say I havnt booked with them! So after some more hunting today with have booked a week in an apartment all inclusive in sunny.................Benidorm! I can not think of a worse holiday personally but the rest of the family are over the moon LOL. It is disgraceful how the prices jump up by the £1000's when the school holidays kick in So where are you good folk going then?
