  1. Hi Glorian. Thanks for that! It does make me wonder how my experience to date will help out. Seems a lot of people to a week course from scratch. I don't know if having ridden for the best part of a year will help me a lot or if I'll have to try and unlearn all the bad habits I might have got into! Ha!
  2. Sounds like your situation was similar to mine then! Good to know it worked out for you doing it that way!
  3. Thanks for all the replies. So it seems no one is saying that one way is inherently better than the other, which is good. I've already decided to do lessons with the place I did my CBT at, so next step Theory then on with the lessons!
  4. Thanks for your replies. I'm practicing for my theory at the moment and plan to book it soon. The Hazard Perception test is new to me, having learnt to drive about 15 years ago! I've been riding my 125 to work everyday since March so have about 7-8 months of experience doing that. My main aim is to ditch my L plates, then get a bigger bike as and when I can afford it.
  5. Hi I'm planning how to go about getting my full licence. With work and family commitments I don't think I'll be able to spare a whole week to do a course in that way. The place I'm looking to do my training with also offers individual sessions which would probably suit me better. But... when I Google training, everywhere is selling week courses and very rarely do they mention individual sessions. Does anyone know the reason for this? Has anyone here done seperate sessions instead of a week course? Thanks!
  6. Hi Tango Checked the clutch lever free play last night and made an adjustment, but no big effect on the core problem. I'll book it in and get it looked at! Cheers
  7. Thanks for all the replies. I'm about 800 miles from the next service at 3.5k but the bike just isn't feeling right so I think I'll see about getting it looked at ASAP. (As you asked, I'm having a pie for dinner on Friday. Maybe I should have something else..) Cheers all!
  8. Hi I'm a new rider on a YBR125C with about 2500 miles on it now. (Please forgive my lack of technical knowledge/language!). A couple of weeks ago I noticed it was revving higher than before when in gear. By this I mean that it used to reach 30mph happily in 3rd gear at 5-6000 revs on a flat surface, but now it is doing this at 7000. It basically feels like every gear is one lower and I'm having to shift up sooner. The idle revs have not changed at all. First I thought this might be due to the chain being loose, but after tightening it nothing has changed. My only other guess is that the gears aren't fully engaging or something? I'm hoping someone here might have some insight into this problem! Thanks!
