Rightio i think ive got it. riding back from the local bike shop i lost power as if i had hit the reserve but i had plenty of petrol in jumping off the bike i checked all the pipes to make sure there was no kink in the pipe and nothing the bike also wouldnt start. then i heard the petrol cap squealing sucking in air. i took the seat off and realised where i had detatched the tank trying to fix the indicators i had taken off the breather pipe and when putting it back on i had trapped it under the seat, re-routed and bike still wouldnt start, so as i was rocking it to get the petrol into the card i spotted a red connector block completely disconnected under the instrument panel. connected this and now the front indicators work, very happy! everything seems to be ok now, the clunking is even a little easier, so this weekend means alot of biking and then to the local classic show with my brother and the minis thanks for everyones help especially WalneyFrankie for coming to take a look

sounds good ill give it a good run out in a bit to see if it loosens off, im hoping that it developed it due to me putting too much oil in and that it will go after a while seen as ive emptied it thanks again for the help

Success Sort of got all indicators working (one of the pins in the block connector under the tank was bent out of shape) and i can now get into neutral from first when the engine is running. took it out for a ride but now the front indicators are not working and it still clunks into first. i suspect the front indicators is another connection problem as i had all four and both stopped at the same time. i probably knocked one loose. however the 1st clunking puzzles me it didnt do it before i topped the oil up and now ive emptied it and started from scratch ive got neutral back but still clunky, possibly still too much oil? it just reaches the top of the eyeglass when the bike is upright

right back off holiday, all 121 emails sorted, time to get to work. i will let you guys know what happens

nope i havent, they dont light up on the dash nor does any of the indicators so dismissed the possibility i assume they will be wired paralell rather than series?

That would be really helpfull. But i go on holiday sunday evening so would be earlyish if possible

since topping up the oil, (possibly before i havent noticed) the bike has begun to clunk into first gear and it is impossible to shift into neutral whilst the engine is running, could i possibly have put too much oil in? ive adjusted the clutch lever to nop avail (not that i know if im adjusting it correctly) does anyone know what is causing this?

Well new unit is here and still no indicators, knackered switch possibly?

after a bit of ebay searching ive found the right one, it was the one i pulled out, no clicking at all. new one ordered from ebay

my relay looks different to that... or ive looked at the wrong one. changed fuse but no luck yes all indicaters stopped

Does anyone know where i can find the fuse for the indicators on this bike, im nbuying one and the indicators just stoped so i want to check

i live in whitehaven and in my opinion its the best views in the area for costal sights. it has a great marina to park up and go for a walk.

well done not many people know that and ye wiki is cheating. even basenthwaite isnt the real name of the only lake this was originally the name of a trainstation nearby but i cannot remember what it is meant to be

whats the details of this one then, i take it im one of the only people in the lakes area normally, must admit it will be brilliant when im on the road as il have all of these roads just around the corner, ive flew round them in my old mini a few times, in fact in june there is a lakes tour for the minis again, anyway back on topic there is one place where if you come to the lakes you have to go to. its a place called ashness bridge and its above derwent water, in my opinion the best view in the lakes. quick trivia can anyone tell me how many lakes are in the lake district?
