  1. ive not been riding long, but i always find the "shortest" route (aka the least miles taken) to be the fastest unless ofc the roads its going on is all 30mph as opposed to motorway speeds. but generally thanks to filtering traffic doesnt really apply to us half as much so pick the route on Gmaps with the least time without traffic. Thats usally my way of commuting and its saved me around 20 mins per day so far. as i said, it depends on your route, but 9/10 google maps will show you 3 routes, pick the one with the fast "Without Traffic" route.
  2. Haha, you don't need to get upset...it's going to be a lot of time when something else will be in your mind, or your attention will have to be on something else on the road and you won't nod back yourself!! And I still remember first time someone waved at me, 12 years ago, even remember where it was! Aaah i was jus playing... i couldnt afford the LED sign anyways i just dont see why there is divsions, were all on 2 wheels because we love it right? i dont get why engine size would matter.
  3. can i just like... move to wherever you boys are because on my daily commute from redbourn to buckingham i think i get like... 1 nod from about 5-6 bikers (on average) i mean its not much to move like what?... 6 neck muscles. I might just go invest in an LED sign that spells "PRICK" and stick it to the bottom of my L plate... ill nod and if they dont respond they can look back and see it light up just for them... how special
  4. Im on a 125, but an yearning to get my full license.. £££ is the only thing stopping me atm. And even though my bike doesnt look like a 125. (honda CBF125) I nod at every biker i see, including most peds unless i see they are the type to wear tracksuit bottoms on their ankles... Yet i only recieve a nod from 1 in 5 bikers, and even then it seems like its a "oh if i have to" kinda thing. Except from one guy on what i only remember to look like a hayabusa. he gave me the most energetic head nod i thought he was about to fall off his fkin bike. Im just putting it down to the fact im on a 125 and not a monster. i just kinda hoped for more y'know
  5. Managed to keep it on the Friday..well happy. Looking forward to getting some good deals on gear!
  6. Guys i need your advice... Im currently planned to go to this on the friday, however i may have to rearrange this to saturday. Are saturdays worth it? are they too busy? it would be sat 29th. Thanks.
  7. Ah right, maybe i mean the older model then, the one with the round front lights. im jealous though, it still looks like aload of fun..
  8. haha, nice. whats the fuel like on it? price of full tank / how long it lasts? Also, where are the pictures! i do love the triple, but im not a massive fan of two things on the 'R' - The rear number plate holder - The Headlights Do you find the seat low? according to the specs ive seen its 32" high. Just sounds low to me.
  9. haha, what is it you do? Yeah ive spoken with Dave,i got his mobile number, will be giving him a shout on the weekend.
  10. Leighton Buzzard Moved up here about 3 months ago now.
  11. You live in Ramsgate? wow.. my parents just moved down there about 3 months ago, ive literally stood where your bike pics are... there's a seafood restaurant behind you isnt there? My dad is driving up to mine (leighton buzzard) at the crack of dawn Friday morning and we're heading straight there! I would offer a lift from mine to the NEC and back again, but its one straight train for you isnt it. you actually still go through my station though.. hah... What time are you planning on getting there?
  12. Hey Dudes and Dudettes! So im getting more and more antsy about getting on my future bike(whatever that may be). Problem i have is this; i havn't ridden or taken any sort of lessons now for about 4 months, i only really touched on mod1 and mod2 bits when i had... Now, do i go with a new trainer... (i moved, different area, etc) or shall i just hire a bike for a week and get as much experience as possible? Thing is im a bit strapped for cash as i own a stupid expensive car to run... selling it as we speak... so don't want to get stung by a new teacher stringing me along, nor do i want to hire a bike and not know what to study. I mean i have youtube. thats about it - i don't know any bikers in my area My other option is buying a 125. but i don't imagine myself keeping it as i have my heart set on a street triple... *drools* Lessons, as some of you may know / remember, usually set you back about £60 - i reckon ill need between 4 - 8 hours in total to feel confident. so approx £120 - £240. Buying a bike, again as some of you may know, is going to be above the 1k mark. Renting a bike for a week, is £87.50 .... plus a £750 holding deposit... Im inclined to just take the lessons and hit the tests.... but then i think, for the price of £87.50 i have a whole WEEKS worth of free time and car parks... I'm 25, so will be doing my DAS, im fairly confident on 2 wheels, but im still a newb. Is there any ideas or recommendations. Also if anyone lives in Bedfordshire, i wouldn't mind getting to know some fellow bikers
  13. I'm close to booking a day off for this, but i'm still new to this world and don't know any of you yet I was thinking the Friday. Does anyone know if you can take camera's? i know some places are a bit fussy about this.
