  1. thanks for the replies. all sorted now. I think the problem is due to the guerilla 450 has only been out a couple of months and I don't think all details are on the database that ins uses. next year it should be easy peasy.lol
  2. are they still sponsoring this forum? just bought a new RE Guerilla 450 and struggling to get ins due to it not being on the database yet
  3. What? I was in agreement. oo I do apologise I miss read it. yes that could be the case and often is. they're made in India to Triumph specs by baja m/bike makers. they had the triumph for a year before we did. plenty on you tube but cannot understand them. they to have or had problems. it can be a hit or miss with new bikes. I've a few new bikes since 2003 and been fortunate not to have problems like some have.
  4. I don't come on here often smarty pants.
  5. I'm on Facebook forum of the Triumph 400. I was interested in getting on but it appears there a lot of niggling problems. engine cutting, warped disc and several other faults . granted not all have these problems in mr flyer it cut out on him to but it the red cut off switch which cut the engine. yamaha had this problem to on the 1 st gen tracer 700. I had one never had a problem. so it can be sod laws that you get a gremlin or a good bike. all bikes have problems of sort. I'm going for the RE guerilla coz the dealer is only 2 miles away and I like the new guerilla 450. same power and slightly heavier.
  6. don't get mix up with the X-ADV different beast altogether.the adv 350 is a much lighter and more manageable than my 750 . as for one I like to have two and always have done. both on seperate ins. both cost me about £120 each, f/comp which means a glorified 3rd party. its highly unlikely that I will go for a large capacity bike these days. I usually ride around about 60 mph and 70 mph so a medium size will do . like the 500 honda etc. I've never been one for big fast bikes. the biggest was a Tracer 900 which I didn't like so sold it after about 9 months. fastest I've had.. was a thundercat 600 ,had 2 of them. to be honest I've no interest in big horses or fast bikes. to me any bike that is capable of hitting 90-100 mph is plenty fast enough. if its capable of doing 100 mph then I know I wont be screwing it neck doing 80 mph for long periods. thanks for replying so far. this what the adv that I'm after....
  7. maybe so twice I nearly dropped it taking out of the garage. question was about the ins. a guy on another forum couldn't have multi bike ins now the he turned 75. he has been using them for years.so much for loyalty.
  8. someone mention if you downsize it's difficult to go back up to a bigger bike. I'm 72 coming up to 73.currently I have a Forza 750 after my two long trips plan later (due to the weight of the Forza). I'm considering going for the ADV 350 around aug or later.also I have a NC750S which I plan to sell next year for a Triumph 400x. the question is have any body experience this?
  9. triumph have the 400 speed and scrambler. cheap as chips. £5000[5500
  10. it was like that when I got it.
  11. the paint work leave a lot to be desired. the matt black could get it cleaned up. god knows what the original owners did. 3 owners and only 5,000 miles on the clock. I have all the MOT's so mileage is correct. anyway pictures before and after....
  12. all my jackets have removable linings. my winter one is made by oxford.was summer used but the lime green pattern has faded. so I bought a cheap pair for summer £40 each. £500 or more is a bit much for me to swallow. thanks anyway.
  13. while out on a trip. instead of us carrying our jackets. we put the jacket inside the side cases as you may well know you can't fold these neatly. having put them in will this damage the membrane or what ever? every year I give them a clean and retreat it with Nikwax.
  14. thanks for the replies.
  15. I have one for me and my good lass but they are to bulky. I'm looking for for a light weight roll into bag type. this is the only one that I can find all others have lining. do you guys know of any other? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166198493538?hash=item26b233c162:g:uzcAAOSwHINkm-Mp&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8H4hK6lFnq2PU3gzpO9XkguO6l73t%2FElPyNoZVq%2FtgeJDXd%2Fw%2BKHHyGt%2FmLgVQJvWA9%2Fm3q%2BYpRRG1roYTML77pZ7W7HTeLqhxCdKW%2BPToaBzgOSQnw15M5Gifck%2F8k6Ak6%2B6z%2FOkTcW3J4k9ASsUsG9o6XxSHGYX3bfcbqVqA2NlPSzAFhTYpDBXo5gOg4g6JWFJLxGAN6XEbDSo20XilGRS2aMdllss9gKavp2f4hFCenR7GMoTiCARl%2F7%2F1IyTWSdoQPGWvKtG%2F1X3jmZ%2FOTGg%2B8THShZo8N6I4rjCAH81KMAf%2Fx4X4tF9zxFazC0WQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR9r6p4y8Yg
