This was my first trackday on my Yamaha r1 07 , after this trackday i got it on the dyno and it was running only 140bhp ish the bloke who sold it to me done me over the tosser , spent a lot of money to get it to where it should be , i got 175bhp out of her in the end after i had it sorted which took 4 bike shops and a long trip to Track Electronics in Norwich who were the only people/shop who could sort the bike out , every other shop where stumped so big thumbs up to them boys found out the bike previously had a fire due the the state of the electrics so that ended up being turned in to a race loom so after some ££££££££ the bike was sorted , so i think the lap times i was doing at snet are ok considering it was well f**ked ">

Spoke to them and the thing is them bolts are done at the factory , so im going to tighten them and keep a eye on them but im wondering if i should check anything else ??

Everyone has there own view I guess but in my eyes tyres and warmers are the most important things fast or not ,1st time or 10th time.
-
that's why you hire them first time round and not buy them. Dony , Silverstone , Brands and Snetterton all have electric points so will be fine really.
-
yes keeps them consistently warm to keep the heat cycles down to a min.
-
it don't matter first time or not ! it depends how the person looks at things to how he approaches the day itself , I had tyre warmers on my very first trackday , its good practice, its not exactly a disadvantage is it lol it could be cold for a start, aint always warm so I disagree, and 3 laps warming the tyres up when they could be just warm lol
-
defo go with the 1st reply just book with either company and go in to the Novice group you will be fine but I would defo invest in good tyres if you haven't already and either rent or buy tyre warmers.

sweet let us know where you decide to go mate and will try and meet up for a spin.
