Placing anchor pragmasis ground anchor
kaintxu replied to kaintxu's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I was not trying to get you at all, really. I know this is a bit off, but any idea where could I look for someone who could do this. I really don´t know here in Edinburgh where to look for someone. Cheers -

Placing anchor pragmasis ground anchor
kaintxu replied to kaintxu's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I know there are cordless tools, but I just don't know if they have enough power to go through concrete. -
Hi guys, I,m getting the pragmasis ground anchor but I really have no idea. I have seen the video they have but I neither have the tools (SDS drill and hover) nor where I'm going to place it has a plug nearby. Could you guys recommend if I can get someone to do it in Edinburgh or I should rent the tools myself? And if so where in Edinburgh or how do I get electricity there? Cheers

New helmet for new bike

Hi MR_W, Thanks for your reply. Is good that shark fits you well and I apretiate the feedback I will have a look at them. Still, you answer does not answer my question about shoei being worth the money you pay over others. Thanks -
New helmet for new bike

Totally agree, and I will do so. My biggest doubt is if shoei is,worth the extra cash over other brands and if both fit well, NXR is better than GT air -
New helmet for new bike
kaintxu replied to kaintxu's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I value my head quite a lot so I could spare a budget of up to 300-400 quid if it does give more protection than others. -
Continuing my jacket discussion, is time to talk helmet. I have always used Sohei but they were always presents. Now I have to get my own, and I still want one and falls into budget, but I want to know if it is worth it. I was thinking on the GT-air or the NXR. What is your call on these two? Is it worth or should I consider other brands? I can always try them st the local store and get them online is its worth it. Any helmet online retailer at good price? I could also go for a shoei quest if that would be enough. Thanks.

Hi one sea, Sorry for the delay, I have been in holidays without Internet. I'm not that keen on one pieces as sometimes I could want to wear on or the other. Thinking in the onset I posted, any tips? Also anyone else can give some feedback? Thanks

Hi guys, As you know I'm getting a bike at the end of the month, so I was looking into gear. Could you give me your opinion in the following jackets for Scotland (Edinburgh-Dunfermline daily commute)? I was looking at this jacket and was wondering why the http://www.fc-moto.de/Scott-Distinct-1-Pro-GT-Jacket" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Which seems to be the older model, has a higher price than the http://www.fc-moto.de/Scott-Distinct-2-Pro-GT-Jacket" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Which is the current model scott has in their website. If the distinct 1 pro is better, the discount is even bigger so it would be quite a good buy The contender is the following which I Can get for around 320 at the store after the discount for buying a bike, http://www.fc-moto.de/Revit-Neptune-Gore-Tex-Jacket" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Is it a good enough jacket? From what I can see is not laminated gore tex, it just has a gore tex linen, would that be better than a waterproof RST? OR the above mentioned Scot laminated Gore tex? Any call between these 3?

What protective clothing to buy?
kaintxu replied to Muse's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Hi guys, Any tips on this please? -
Is that your chain in a tail bag? or just a tail bag? Also is that a kriega? Hi, thanks for all this info. I mean a pillion seat bag, I will have a top box, but that's for other stuff. I have already been told that it can be carried on the top box but it could get dangerous with all the shifting. Any way to fix it to the top box for when I carry my wife? Cheers,

Hi guys, I was at the store where I´m going to purchase my bike and they told me not to even think of putting the chain into a tail bag, whats your call on this?

Hi guys, Would you consider these RST jackets to be good quality to commute to work in Edinburgh? http://www.rst-store.co.uk/rst-tundra-ii-textile-jacket.html http://www.rst-store.co.uk/rst-paragon-iv-textile-jacket.html Or would I need to go for more expensive ones like these? http://www.rst-store.co.uk/rst-pro-series-paragon-v-textile-jacket.html Or would I need to look into even better ones? Ones last question is, would this one also be enough as it seems smaller to handle http://www.rst-store.co.uk/rst-pro-series-ventilator-v-textile-jacket.html -
Does anyone know a way to secure the chain to the top box so that it does not bump on every turn?
-
Hi all, As per my previous post, you will probably know that I´m looking to buy a new tracer in a not so nice city. I wanted to ask you more about how you guys carry a 16mm chain in the bike. I was aiming for a 1,5m or 2m 16 mm pragmasis protector. I know it can be on a tail bag or on the top box. any other ideas? If in the top box do you just just chuck it in or do you actually put it in something else something? I´m scared that if I just leave it on the top box it could destabilise the bike in a turn. How does it feel in a tail bag? any recommendation for tail bags. Cheers,
