Know what you mean Neil anyhow my take on yesterday: All week the pesimistic people amongst us had been forecasting a wet Sunday, so much to my delight to wake up to blue skies and sunshine, slapped on the factor 30, received a text from Darren are you going? Course I am stupid boy! Met up with Darren at our usual place and blasted to Webbs at Eye to meet Neil and we were ON TIME much to Neils amusement. Sam, Sam & Dave arrived and then the usual arguement of who would lead the way and which route? In the end muggins volunteered to lead the group. Set of from Webbs, bade farewell to Tracey who wished us well (Glad to hear your on the mend Derek) and we opted for the direct route to Spalding then picked up the A16 to meet up with Willow & Akey. We made good pace and pulled up at the garage on the A52...... or so we thought. Willow & Akey were making good time when sitting in the sun and discussing with Neil where they would be when Neil said 'Google Earth never showed a garage on this roundabout' It was then I realised we were actually on the A17 not the A52 so panic stations as we all bundled our gear back on and set of towards Boston, lots of camera's and we were being good until we passed a cop car that decided to put on his blue lights as we went passed, I thought it was for my Dark Visor, Gubba thought it was for him speeding but we never saw copper again, panic over! We got to the A52 nowhere to stop so we headed on to skeggy, what a crap road that A52 is yawn a minute. We got there about 11:30am and about 5 minutes later Akey & Willow turned up so we were not to far apart after all MCN Live was ok glad we had 2 for 1 tickets, Met Vicki, we met Bob the Builder complete with a Hitler Moustache the trade stands tbh were shocking, very poor for a bike weekend, the hovercrafts were.... well on wheels! Stunt show was ok but tbh the company was the part that made the day for me The competitive TMBF streak surfaced as Gubba, Neil, Akey & myself took each other on at superbike racing in the arcade and with the stakes high, I took the honours Neil demanded a re-match so next it was the Arabian Nights camel derby in which Neil took the honours to win a cuddly snake We then went and met up with the lot from Willingham woods who refused to pay to get in (don't blame them) and was good to meet TC from the chatroom and Dan and The Wife again. Dark clouds from the coast made our mind up to set of home and a good ride home in the sun as we arrived back at Ely about 6:20pm. Thanks to Vicki for allowing us to dump all our clutter in their room and thanks to all the people who gave me so many laughs, looking forward to the next event which is........... ? ? ? ?
