Hi, I am planning on using ACF-50 on my bike and was wondering if it is safe to use on an o-ring chain to prevent rust? Any advice would be appreciated. cheers

Hello, My bike's been garaged for the last few months and I am now wanting to get it back on the road. My manual says that I should take the spark plugs out, however was wondering if this is really necessary as it seems to start ok and i'm a novice when it comes to bikes. I was also guilty of not charging the battery - however again it seems to start up fine. Planning on changing the oil / filter, cleaning and doing the normal safety checks. Is there anything else that anyone would recommend I do before going out on the road - advice appreciated! My bike is: Suzuki Bandit 650 - 12 months old. Cheers

Hi there, I am trying to replace my right front indicator and having a bit of trouble as finding it difficult to access the bolt that needs loosened. I think I may need to remove the front half fairing to do this, but was wondering if anyone has done this before and knows a better way? Cheers

Hello, can anyone recommend a decent Torque Wrench for the purposes of loosening my rear axle nut? Seems to be quite a few out there!

I would recommend Wurth dry chain lube. Works a treat, and no fling!

Hello, Normally when I start my bike up I can see the oil drain away into the engine via the viewing window. usually the window is full and it is empty a few minutes after the engines running. In the last couple of days I have noticed that only about half the oil is draining away, and wonder if this is an indication that there is a problem - obviously worried that not all the oil is going where it should. If anyone could shed light on whether this is indeed a problem or is it is normal that would be appreciated. Cheers

Hello, I was washing my bike earlier and accidently got a bit of water in the exhaust. Firstly I was wondering if this is anything to worry about? The other thing I noticed was when I looked at my engine oil inspection window (I have the Suzuki Bandit 650) there appeared to be a white residue sitting on the top of the oil. I was wondering if the 2 are connected and if this cuold potentially cause damage to the engine if ridden. The bike is only 6 months old and in good condition. Advice would be welcome, Cheers

Any advice on the following would be appreciated: Cleaning Painted surfaces: I have noticed that small hairline scratches are appearing on my painted surfaces and was wondering if this is due to the type of materials I am using, which are: initially a sponge - until I heard that they arent recommended and now a cotton mitt to wash and household cotton yellow duster to polish (I use Autoglym wax). Any tips on this or other cleaning stuff would be appreciated! Cheers

Hi there, I have a Hein Gericke Textile jacks and am going to buy Leather trousers for my distance riding - (have a pair of textile ones for about the town.) Does anyone know how tight they are meant to be, especially around the waist. I understand that leather will stretch overtime but not sure if I should go for ones that are roomier or tight to begin with. Any advice appreciated!

Hi there, I have just been doing some checks on my bike, and noticed that the coolant level appears to be on the low side. I'm relatively new to riding and was wondering what coolant brands to go for? Is coolant the same as the antifreeze you put in a car?? Any advice appreciated!

Was just wondering if it's normal for the front brake to make a noise when braking - kinda like a soft grinding noise. I also find that I can hear the back brake rubbing against the disc when I turn the wheel by hand - is this normal? I ride the Bandit 650 sport K8. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi, I just bought a new Suzuki Bandit 650. My knowledge of bikes is to say the least sparse. I want to keep the bike in good condition and would really appreciate some tips on how best to maintain it. A couple of things I'm unsure of below: Chain Adjustment & tools required for the job How to clean the bike - things to avoid and recommended products How often to lube the chain and how I've also heard a lot of chat about "greasing" certain components & was wondering if this is necessary on a new bike. Running the bike in: How important is it to keep the revs below 6000 for the first 1000 miles, as the manual suggests? Any guidance on any of the above or anything i've more than likely missed would be greatly appreciated Cheers
