  1. Looking at my Bandit, the front and rear have little weights on them.
  2. I'v found that since passing my DAS test and dumping my 125, I get a lot more nods, and I always nod at other bikers coming toward me. However, I nodded at one yesterday and he returned the favour with the w@nker sign There's always one, I suppose!

    oil leak

Personally I would change the head gasket. If it's seeping though outside, will it be leeking inside too?
  4. My 125 does 90-100 Miles Per Gallon
  5. Had a Superbyke SBS125 for two years. No bother at all
  6. If the bit that's left in is not too tight, insert a screwdriver, and tap it into the plug with a hammer (gently), then try unscrewing it. I did a similar thing on an old car and the remains of the plug just unscrewed with the screwdriver
  7. Not that you can push a 125 very hard anyway Just waiting on my test (7th April) then it's Bandit time
  8. Ya being paranoid!! Same to me on my 125. Got a flat tyre on the back and the first I knew is when it stepped out and nearly chucked me on the deck. Now, every time I take a bend, it feels like it's gonna step out, but no matter how hard I push, it doesn't, and the wheel's aligned with the correct play in the chain and correct pressure
  9. I use lanes identified as a "No Car Lane". Never been stopped so assume it's OK ? As for "Cycle Lanes". Be it a pedal cycle or a motor cycle. I use 'em
  10. It was last serviced last April,so due now. Unsure if idle was totally even before laid up, as I just bought it. A mate and me are gonna give it a service and balance carbs. Thanks guys

    Bandit idle

Hi all.. My first big bike is a 2001 Bandit 600. Lovely piece of kit Starts and runs like a dream and could not fault it at all. However, the idle is not even. Do I need to worry? It idles between 1100 and 1300 revs. Never cuts out, just sounds a little uneven. It's a 2001 model with 9k miles on it. I filled it with fresh petrol and gave it a good run. The idle is still very slightly uneven. Before now, it had stood for about 4 months. Need I worry?? Thank you.
  12. well, it started this morning with no probs..... maybe the original 8amp battery was not up to scratch?
  13. I've just fitted a new 12amp battery and it seems ok so far. Lets see if it lasts more than 3 days like the last 8 amp ones... and it now takes 2 milli-seconds to start, not 2 tries and a flat battery ps. what's the reg/rectifier??
  14. Thanks for all the help guys. Appreciate it. The bike is 15 months old. There is no drain on the battery when ignition is off (tested with meter). Definately not switching parking lights on. When ticking over, shows 13.5v, but when put light on, drops to 9 - 10, until revved, then back to 13.5. It has an alarm and remote start, but I never use these. Using NEW batteries from a dealer, not second hand. I did notice the earth connections could have been tighter. Have cleaned and tightened and ridden 20 miles, will see in morning if any better....
  15. They said it's not normal, just blamed a dodgy battery
  16. I'm puzzled too. It's a 8Ah battery. Just ordered a 12 to see if that will work better...
  17. I did Said nothing wrong. Two different places looked at it...

    Any ideas??

Hello people! My bike is now on it's 4th battery in 18 months. It charges fine and shows 12.5 - 13v on the meter, but when the bike's stood for over 4 hours, it's flat Even with the main switch off Any ideas?
