That's 5 minutes walk from my place
I often take the kids there to catch crabs, the aquatic kind of course.

-

Here are just some of the pictures taken by Wmmcc.
Thanks mate
if this is on next year count me in. i will have hopefully a 400/600 by thenifnot 125 will do just fine ^.^
Yeah, I'll still be on a 125, doubt I'll have the cash (spare) for full test by next year.

Looks impressive where did you get it from
ebay

Is that the AEE MD80 camera?
Yes
I feel seasick. You got autism or something that causes you to rock? Not bad quality for the price. How long can it record for?
Bumpy roads, strong ish winds + I was talking to myself so gesturing with my head I guess
As the mic isn't the best on this camera it was drowned out by wind noise hence why I blanked the sound and used music instead.
with a 2gb card it'll record about an hour of video ish, can't remember battery life, but I am told it can film while charging, but not tested that yet...will do when I remember!
-
i feel nauseaus, its like you keep popping wheelies... qualities good though..
I think I was just moving my head about in the strong winds
I had the camera almost sat between my eyes inside the helmet, I may put a different mountiing in soon.
I have no clue how to do wheelies and with the crap accelleration on my sr 125 I think it might struggle with wheelies.
-
need a faster memory card though, the low write speed of the one that comes with it leads to some dropped frames and some blurring it seems to me.
-
-
Quality is actually slightly better on the camerta, I re-encoded using windows movie maker to 1mbps so it dropped the quality a tad (but not tooo much as this camera isn't the greatest..but it is SOOO tiny you can out inside your helmet
)
Anyone who recognises the 3 pieces of (crap) music in this video gets a virtual pat on the back.

Mine arrived today
Just been out on a nice sedate little ride to test it out.
Sedate because it's mostly 40 limits where I went, and the only bit of NSL road, I had the bleedin' wind on me face the whole way, so only managed 55 on my sr125 lol.
When I've converted and uploaded the vid I'll stick it on youtube and stick in rideout reports hehe.

Bit behind I know, but did anytone get pics/vids of the event this year?

sounds like the side stand switch was stuck
now you have it moving again stick some grease on it not WD40 as WD40 washes grease out and it will start to stick again
Already done
-
You can always take your test on a 125 and get a restricted licence that'll still let you ride a bigger bike provided it's within the 33bhp limit. The restriction lasts for 2 years then you can ride whatever you like.
Sortas what I plan on doing, have already been riding a year, and will probably be on a CBT/125 for another year or 2 yet, when I finally get around to doing my test, I'll have a couple of lessons first, to break any bad habits I picked up, then do the test.
Not in a real big rush though, as I'm still quite happy with a 125...sad I know...

Finally got around to fixing this today
Took me all of 5 mins...just sprayed the switch with engine degreaser/cleaner...left for a few mins, rinsed it all off, plugged the relay back in, and job's a good 'un.
-
I ordered one earlier today, will see how good it is when it arrives
-
Blytz boots seem very good for the money for me, very comfy, and don't let the water in! However, I haven't crashed in them so dunno how good they are in that aspect...pretty well padded tho
-
I think they look pretty cool...however, only if on a mannequin, you'd have to be very 'special' to wear those in public...or be at a fancy dress party..
-
Right. Side stand end will be a switch full of weather
Saw that too, gave it a clean up but it didn't improve things, however, it was getting dark by then, so I'll have a look in the daytime, once the sun is up
gotta pass the day shift somehow!
-
it says relay in the haynes manual, I'm talking up near the fuse area, not the sidestand end.
-
Well I just got in from work, and removed the sidestand relay, and bike started and ran fine..see what you mean about easy to bypass, just remove the relay!
Now I have to figure out if it's the relay itself or down at the sidestand end so I know what to replace
I gave the relay a clean (such as you can) and sprayed wd40 into t to disperse any water, will plug it back in in the mornign and see how it goes.
-
As I went to leave this morning, I started up the bike, let it run for a bit to warm up, sidestand up, into gear...stall.
That's odd I thought, did I leave the sidestand down? Nope, it's up...
Engine cuts off exactly as if the sidestand is down as soon as it's put in gear, so I am assuming that it's the problem, unless something else could have the same symptoms?
Anyway, assuming it is the sidestand cutoff, is this easy to bypass? I can't afford to replace the unit until next month, but need the bike daily(my only transport unless I kick the mrs out of bed at 4am (unlikely!) I had to phone the guy I was working with to give me a lift this morning, luckily he lives down the road, but he's not on every day that I am.
So I need to bypass the cutoff temporarilly..
However, I guess it could be moisture/gunk getting into the switch, I'll give it a spray with wd40 later never know, that might fix it (that's how I fixed the bikes horn)

Not a rideout as such, only insofar as I rode my bike to get there!
I've decided to go for walks every day, so as to lose some of the weight I put on since I quit smoking last year, today i decided to ride up to my mums house and go for a walk along the route I used to take if I went into town (Highcliffe)
As my mum lives out in the sticks, it was alwas a nice little walk..As I haven't been that was for some time, there have been a few changes
Not that anyone really cares about my nostalgia, but I thought I'd post the pics I took with my camera phone.

Self portrait Photo, it's crap, and I am making an attempt at growing my hair back..doomed to failure as I hate my receded hairline so will end up shaving it all off again.
