  1. Nope, looking for a "fun" 2nd bike.
  2. It appears to be fine now, took the bike over Swindon Yamaha to test out the new MT-09 Tracer. System pressure is critical to FI systems, a few pounds under can casue all manner of problems. I'd rather see a few over, not too excessive as you get issues like injectors leaking in-between opening cycles and leaks from connectors/seals etc
  3. Took the sender/pump out from the bottom of the tank today & had a proper look at it. The gauze filter and the channels inside the pump housing were clogged with "jelly fuel", much like the consistency of soggy white rice. Also some bits of what looked like black rubber, perhaps from the old cap seal? Back together and the test gauge is reading smack on 43psi now , hopefully problem solved
  4. I concur, great afternoon I wonder who that is?! http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/download/file.php?id=12754
  5. get a female connector from the scrappy? or try http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/s ... connectors
  6. I haf a brief look this morning and the Fuel pressure is a bit low, hoping it's not the regulator as it's integral with the pump body. System pressure is supposed to be 43psi, checked at 38 :/
  7. I suppose whoever has got the guts to cut spending, stick the interest rates up & restrict the amount people can borrow I would have thought.
  8. At least when she said something was going to happen, it generally did, no matter if you agreed or disagreed with the policy or decision. About as close to a true conservative as you'd get, unlike Cameron, Howard & IDS
  9. Yep, masses of debt & cheap credit for the masses = Brown's Britain.
  10. Ordinary people were a lot better off in 1997 than they are now, you only have to look at the cost of housing back then compared to post 2010 (when labour left power). Which is the single biggest expense in most people's lives. Brown utterly screwed Britain up for working class people, no matter what the statistics supposedly show.
  11. I've got to get back to Oxford (from Brighton), it isn't that bad! Even the most direct route from Ryka's to Whiteways is 35 miles, how far did we go?
  12. According to Google maps it's about as far as we did on Monday? That was a fair distance from Rykas to whiteways iirc? https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Loomi ... !5i1?hl=en About 52 miles.

  14. Oh, I have fiddled with the tps, secondary butterflies and some other bits recently. I'll have to be methodical and recheck everything, just in case something has come loose or gone out of spec for some reason. Probably, knowing me! I possess a schrader valve fuel pressure gauge, so hopefully this will make things a bit easier!
  15. It primes the pump from both key and kill switch. In theory that should stop this from happening shouldn't it. I'll have to have a proper look over the next day or so. I know the pump electrical connections etc are good because I've had the tank up when balancing the throttles and servicing the bike. I haven't ridden it in this slightly warmer weather though, until today. I can't remember seeing much, if any, extra heat protection around the fuel lines.
  16. I had this happen to me twice today on the forum ride out. Both times after switching my engine off for a minute or two whilst waiting for the tail rider to catch up when I was marking a turn-off. I'd fire the bike up, go to pull away and it would immediately splutter dead. It was fine again once I've fired it up for a 2nd time though. I'm thinking the bike is either losing some fuel pressure while I'm stopped for that moment or their may not be enough heat protection around my fuel pipes, causing fuel to vaporise a bit in the lines. Anyhow, I'll have a look see and try to find out what's going on. I have a factory manual so i'm going to have a look at the pressure regulator in the pump & see how hot the fuel line gets from the pump to the injectors. P.S. sorry to KD 79 for holding up the tail-end once or twice!
  17. Now you can see why I asked the hobbit question, I'm standing down the slope and still look huge! Like a chubby, non green hulk
  18. Above post is full of WIN (apart from having to sell of course ) Love the cars!
  19. I used to own a shop in nearby Eynsham, I went across this bridge nearly every day for 5 years!
  20. Great day out, it was good to meet a few people from here (at last!) I missed most of the rain right up until I got to Stokenchurch, M40 - then it p*ssed it down thanks to Moo & Rabey plus anyone else for organising things, routes, etc etc See you soon hopefully, I am going to be very busy for the next 12 months though.
  21. I take it the tail doesn't have to know the route too well? just follow?! Seeing as I'm on a 1000cc I shouldn't have any problems like lagging behind or gaining ground - So I'll do it, if necessary!?
  22. Aw, Thanks!. I'm a little better, will be making my way down - i already have a nice route planned in my satnav. I'll be there with a full tank(ish), there's several petrol stations north+south of the cafe.
  23. I've been bugged up with a nasty cold, but I feel a bit better today. Yesterday was a struggle, riding a whopping 5 miles over to a client's house! I don't feel ill as such now, just v.very tired zzzzz. Should be good, weather looks o.k. so far......!?
