  1. if i get to go it will be in my Civic Type R
  2. hmmm disappointing... i know theres a car one there in july which i signed up for, still waiting for confirmation though
  3. ok will see what i can do lol, how much is it for the 2 days then?
  4. i would as it looks a nice track but 200miles each way is a little more than im willing to travel for a track day
  5. yea ive done the 1st level of the CSS, was going to book level 2 but not sure whether i would be better off doing MSV's Rider dev program low 50's on a road bike? thats impressive im thinking of getting a track 600 as im hoping loosing a few kg's + running slicks will help improve my times, before i do that i would like to go down the more training root first though i think
  6. Brands Hatch - Indy circuit on my Road bike, was consistantly getting low 58's with a best of around 57.5 if I remember right. Didn't get any sleep night before so riding was a bit sloppy, next time I'm hoping to consistantly get into the 57's but yea your right it's only my second track day and the instructor said I need some more experience to help round things off etc
  7. well I was in the int/fast group yesterday and think I was pretty fast compared to most people only really had one person overtake me that wasn't related to being stuck in traffic. Only reason I'm asking is my Instructor said I would probably learn more from doing an ACU track/test day as atleast I wouldnt get stuck in traffic it would be me holding people up lol depending how I get on there I'm considering doing some kind of club racing tbh
  8. dont be silly, that would be the easy thing to do! lol im printing off all the info now but as its quite a few pages thought i would see if i could get a quick answer
  9. Just wondered if anyone from here has an ACU Competition Licence? how easy are they to get one, is it just a case of having a medical etc? thanks
  10. yea they have done them, not seen any advertised this year though shame as its a nice track. let me know when your sort your bike and will arrange a rideout if your interested. edit: not actually in hook but down the road in hartley wintney
  11. also done it in the car, wasnt aware there was any bike days on?
  12. Just wondered if anyone else going? Bike magazine are going to be there
  13. unfortunatly cant make the 23rd but im going to be there on the 16th June (weather depending) and the 7th July
  14. fyi im doing a full day on the 16th of june and have the 7th booked off aswell, where you booking for the 7th btw? cant find it on no limits
  15. you have twisted my arm ive put in holiday for that aswell lol price is very reasonable!
  16. ok good stuff, i have a built in lap timer so was playing with that on the day. I know its not going to be completely accurate but managed to pretty consistantly get around 58.04seconds a lap with my fastest lap being 57.77 so not far off the fast boys will try turning in a tad faster and braking later to see how much that helps much
  17. will take a look at them sites thanks, i presume most bike track days are run in sessions then? ive done a car day which was open pitlane which i quite liked as was more flexible about when i could go on track just out of interest (and i know timing isnt allowed) but whats a good lap time for brands hatch indy circuit? did a quick google but mostly came up with car info
  18. ive requested some time off so all being well i should be coming to this aswell
  19. not booked yet but i expect i will book up for the 16th of june, where are you booking yours by the way as i cant see any listed on their website?
  20. thanks for the pic, i was trying to follow that line but as you said perhaps i didnt turn in fast enough at mclarens as it was there that i struggled to hit the apex tbh, i had an instructor which helped with body positioning and help confirm what else i thought i was doing wrong but still struggled with that corner. Think i may also need to move maybe a meter or so to the left before turning in as more often than not i was more centered on that corner i was fine with the rest of the track just really struggled with that series of turns im in the Intermediate group btw
  21. just wondered if you guys can help me with my track riding, im really struggling to hit the appex going from Mclaren to Clark Curve i always seem to go wide im hanging off the bike pretty much as much as i can and to the point that my pegs are scrapping so all i can think is maybe im going to fast for the corner..... i just wondered if i enter the corner at a slower speed should this allow me to hit the appex easoer and would this allow me to come on the power sooner and have a faster exit speed from clark curve onto the straight?
  22. ive booked up for the novice session, just wondered if anyone else is going?
  23. yes thats right but then you come in and they cool down and then go back out and heat up, too many heat cycles kill your tyres or so ive been lead to believe so keeping your tyres up to temp prevents the cooling and lessens the effects of the heatcycles
