  1. Gents, to keep you updated (if you're interested). I removed the wheel, stripped all apart including the brake plate. That's when I spotted a small slither of metal in the brake plate which looked out of place. After quite a bit of thumping and scraping I removed the offending metal, it was a piece of the old wheel (half mm to 1mm thick) which was enough to take all of the tolerance out of the wheel/brake interface. Any how, managed to get it sorted, along with chain, sprocket, starter and solenoid. Just need to do the headlight and check for the source of the very major vibration. I know its a known for the cg but thus is outrageous. Must be a mount loose? Anyhow thanks for your advice I really appreciate it. Ken Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
  2. I'm trying to fit the ebay wheel onto the existing brake plate...... It took a few weeks for me to find the correct age wheel. Though I've a suspicion you are right [emoji21] it's fits but just not right! Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk Might need to go for something like this, wheel and hub. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CG-125-Rear-Chrome-Wheel-Drum-Hub-Rim-1-40-x-18-/182537552743 Just went to buy this but as I live in northern Ireland - p&p is £100................ 4. There is a spacer between the 2 bearings inside the hub/drum. As regards to more photos etc just shout and I'll get them. Cheers Ken Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
  5. Cheers gents, I will look into it tomorrow. Does the drum just sit in the hub? There's no grease or anything so what about the 2 metal surfaces rubbing together? Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
  6. Tbh I think the break is sized on, is there any way to tell if the drum is too tight (remember I did have to persuade it on). Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
  7. Don't think so, they were free moving when I fitted the wheel (were on the wheel so I never changed them). I bought a set so will try to replace them tomorrow. Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk

  9. Thanks for the reply Tim, I tried that and even took the rod off to no avail. The drum seems like it wants to move? See video below (sorry washing machine in background) http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5a9b0174f0a4a/VID_20180303_200737.mp4 Sent from my WAS-LX1A using Tapatalk
  10. Hi folks I'm a newbie to the 2 wheel World. I've done my cbt and bought a cheap Honda cg125 to practice on. Only problem is it seems to be a complete heap of scrap. On the ride home after buying it the rear wheel started wobbling. I rented a trailer and took it home the next day. When I took the rear wheel of I found a bearing in bits and the hub sheared! So I bought a used wheel off ebay. Now today when fitting it I had to 'persuade' the drum on to get the spacers to fit. This unfortunately means the wheel won't budge! So have I done something wrong? From sprocket side I have small spacer, sprocket, wheel, brake drum, larger spacer and then fixing nut. As I say to get the spacers in I had to give the drum a thump and this binds the drum to the hub. The replacement wheel looks to be the same as the old? Anyhow, bikes not moving, I'm not learning the only good thing about it is the chain and sprocket have been cleaned after I found half an inch of crap on the front sprocket cover......
