Good evening all, I recently brought a bike after years away from riding, a Triumph Tiger 800 2014. I need to start thinking about the 12000miles service. Has anyone any recommendations for mechanics in the Swindon / Wiltshire area? Given the age I’m not precious about using a main dealer (to keep cost down) unless there’s a specific reason I should? Many thanks
Thanks for the advice, I didn’t consider that. I do ride fairly upright, as you say it’s the style of the bike. I’m not trying to get my knee down or anything, just enjoy cornering I start the IAM training July 8th, I’m sure I’ll get of advise then too. Cheers
Evening all, I recently brought a Tiger 800 after 9 years with no bike, I love it! Does anyone know what the pin on the bottom of the footrest is for? I’ve scraped it a couple of time on roundabouts hence was thinking of removing it. I did wonder it it’s a safety device warning me not to go any lower? Any advice would be very welcome. Cheers Leigh
Hi all, Thanks for all the information, much appreciated. I did find IAM however didn’t find the local groups. I’ll make contact to confirm next steps and keep my fingers crossed I don’t drop it ! Thanks again
Morning all, So I picked up Triumph Tiger 800 at the weekend, my 1st bike in 9 years! I’m thinking of doing an advanced course and am on the bike safe waiting list as nothing is available until October. An anyone recommended a training instructor/ school in the south west area? I’m Swi don based although willing to travel. Cheers
