    Which bike??

Just looked up the Mt 900 tracer it looks like a racer to me. I am no mechanic but the shaft drive on mine seems good. Upto 3500 to 4000 I think. As I only do touring and infrequently at that the two most important considerations are comfortable riding for long periods and reliability as I like riding them not repairing them
  2. I am thinking of buying a slightly newer bike at present got a BMW r80rt yr86 I have been very happy with it for years but getting a bit heavy for me now I my must haves are it must be reliable a tourer able to cruise at 70 alday long comfortable to ride.apart from my present bike I have had no other bikes so would be thankful for non biased advice cheers jem
  3. Thanks for all your replys I have found them invaluable in the case ofCrit'Air" vignette sticker if your bike was registered before the year 2000 you can't get one so presumably cannot go into those particular areas?
  4. Thanks for your replys it turns out to be the gear selection shaft seal that was leaking and the oil running back to the Clutch actuator pushrod oil seal .

  9. I stayed at this hostel in Inverness and was pleasantly surprised it was clean well decorated and the staff were very helpful. The last time I stopped there it was a bit of a dump. Then today I made my way upto John'o'groats up the a9 till I could get onto a smaller road it turned out to be a single track road but as staight as a die and no potholes I was able to go at about 60 mph all the way while on this road I came across these 2 cans 1 of which had doors in the side the other seemed to be just a dome built in the stone age am now stopping at a hostel in Thurso [/img]
  10. Arrived at Stirling and found a hostel £16.00 a night nice city but difficult to navigate if your GPS is out of juice. Going to make my way over to the east side and then go north tomorrow thankfully on non motorway roads from now on weather couldn't be better
