  1. Well, R&G and Oxford are similarly priced, but these come with a longer guarantee & do seem to be more solidly constructed. But the reason for the post was the heads up about PRESTIGE
  2. Don't get on here much, but thought a heads up about PRESTIGE MOTORBIKE COVERS and PRESTIGE CAR COVERS (Gateshead TYne & Wear) would be useful to you guys Basically, if you're in the market for and outdoor/indoor cover, my advice is to go straight to SPECIALISED COVERS (Shipley Yorks). They actually manufacture the covers that PRESTIGE market as their own. But PRESTIGE seem to be a one man band that simply orders from SPECIALISED. My experience has been that PRESTIGE were reluctant to communicate after my order was placed and paid for. The guy that is supposed to run it (Scott) never returns calls and is never available to receive calls, the only contact is a clueless soul on the end of the phone who seems unable to do anything. The whole experience for me was frustrating to say the least, but after many phone calls/emails, the cover finally arrived - direct from SPECIALISED COVERS!!!!! Quality of the cover seems OK, but it hasn't seen rain yet, so will post again in due course Wugz
  3. Nah. Need to give east Sussex & coastal Kent a miss for a while. Done 'em to death this year so need pastures new. Still love the 272 & surrounding areas though. Also need to get some bimbling done Suffolk way when the weather warms. Beautiful county & some great roads as I remember
  4. Now stop sulking, take yer dummy out, fill the tank & find a new L plate. Someone will be along soon to play (or you could be a brave boy & come out with the big boys on 1st May !!!!!!)
  5. Have a good week then & if weather is good arrange summut for 1 May if you like. Anyone else fancy meeting up ?
  6. I do the 272 from the A22 through to winchester & areas around quite often. Some great traffic free riding if timed right. Maybe try to arrange meeting up with some others on here if there's interest. Where you from & when are you off until Riff?
  7. Spot on. The bike was on its ear. No way would he have saved it. If only he had let it go, but that's fate. Ride In Peace fella
  8. So is anyone from this neck of the woods going this year? Might fancy a bumble down there this year if the weather is OK. Haven't done it for a while. Calling BWHTI what about it? Got your Marauder back on the road yet?
  9. ....... who fancy losing your cherry at Brands Hatch this year? Never done one, always fancied it, so taking the plunge with ClubMSV (Hope they'll be kind to me )
  10. Might be possible for me as well on 13th ... just maybe. Any info on route, or do you intend a 'follow the nose' run
  11. Could agree a meet at Loomies then ride out to South Coast - but South Wales & back from Kent in February? Maybe in a couple months wannars
  12. Would be nice to get a few local(ish) peeps together for the occasional rideout. When the hour changes maybe an evening run. Funny though, it's not just this forum which seems to be lacking interest in the South East.
  13. No can do - working. Still, didn't need new tyre & got puncture repaired so had a run to Hastings after all. Got there about 1.0pm (can't believe it costs to park the bike - like WTF do you display a ticket without it getting nicked!!!). Nobody around so ran on to Rye harbour to grab some lunch then A's & B's back home. Glorious day, few plod, blue skies, bike didn't miss a beat, great lunch & 150 fun miles. Couple of downers - some roads are in an atrocious condition SO STAY ALERT AT ALL TIMES PEEPS. I was Billy-No-Mates for the day. Still, a much enjoyed blast. Roll on Summer
  14. Oh ok Now I understand why I'm always getting lost
  15. Seems like I wont be going too far tomorrow after all. Have to delay that brew Mega. Checking tyre pressures & found a screw embedded into rear tyre BO**ACKS Gotta source a repair in the morning now
