  1. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SYM-MEGALO-125cc- ... 286.c0.m14 This is one which looks similar to mine which is this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-SYM-JET-Joyri ... 286.c0.m14 I am only looking at matching the front pipework up as i was going to add an adapter to the pipe so bike cans can be slipped on. It looks like it could be a good match but tbh i'm always wrong when I buy something from photos. The cheapest 2nd exhaust for my scooter is £50, so if I could get this for cheaper then that would be a bonus.
  2. I have a SYM Joyride 125 and the air filter is in need of replacement, I have searched hi and low on the internet but to no avail. Does anyone know stockists of SYM parts, or would it be easier to cut out the existing paper part of the filter and replace it with filter foam.
  3. I got delivery for £8.75 through DHL. Its cheaper for a courier to collect and then deliver than you taking it to the depo and them delivering
  4. why? are you after a replacement? yes wnt a variable clutch from PM tuning but there not sure what size i need unless i measure it, and i don't want to open my casing up because i want to change the variator and clutch at the same time
  5. Yes sorry
  6. Does anyone know the size of the clutch in a SYM Joyride 125, as I'm too lazy to check, and can't find any info on the net
  7. thanks for that
  8. Courier is saying up to 10kg.
  9. Just be glad you can get around freely on a 50cc doing 30mph, it saves waiting for buses. Honestly you will love it enough if other bikes come flying past you.
  10. If you spend enough money then you can get it going as fast as you want. I had an Aprilia Mojito 50cc that did 80mph when I was 16, but it wasn't actually 50cc, because it had a malossi 70cc kit on. And a few more parts that cost me the best part of a grand. But tbh not worth it
  11. Looking at purchasing some leathers off ebay and want to arrange a courier to collect and deliver them, I just need to know what weight they would be, it is an RST 1 piece with knee sliders.
  12. I have done my cbt on both a small auto and a large 125 manual. And I found it easier to do it on a manual, mainly because there easier to control at slow speeds because you can use both the clutch and back brake. But i think the larger the auto the easier it is to ride, so the X9 should be a doddle to do it on
  13. have charged the battery and now there is power but it soon runs out, and checked across the battery terminals and theres no power going back to the battery while the engine is running. And when the battery is removed no lights work, but shouldn't the alternator run the lights etc with no battery when the engine is running?
  14. Yes it connected. I think I am going to have to take it back the guys house and demand him for my money back.
  15. I havn't had it apart because i've just bought it. I'm just going over it now, but its got me baffled as I can't find any loose connections or blown fuses.
  16. I've checked the fuses and there all ok
  17. I have purchased a SYM Joyride 125cc today and on the ride home it flashed at me all the electrics went off, i.e. nothing on the digital readout for fuel, temp, time, and mileage shows, no lights work, no brake lights, no electrics at all basically. And its a pain to start it of the kick start and when it has started off the kick there is still no lights. Can anyone put me in the direction of finding the fault, the battery is brand new by the way.
  18. Scooters to me seem more fun and when ridden correctly can out handle bikes on normal roads
  19. Its the overall plan of finding a good auto, running it til i pass my test, then add a 210cc kit, and then make an automatic lambretta with it.
  20. I only just started riding bikes again. Just saving up for university, then going to save up to do my bike test. And I have rode TZR's, RS's, RG Gamma's, and de-restricted NSR's. But they don't appeal to me.
  21. I'm 21, and tbh I prefer scooters to bikes. I have seen a 125 scooter now with upgraded brakes etc so now forgetting about the runner
  22. This is the link for the scooter http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 2759.l1259 Its a gilera runner, its got a 210 malossi kit fitted so would cure my need for speed. Does anyone think this would be a good buy at that price, and to paint all I would use is rattle cans. Does anyone think this has a hidden past, because of the rubbed down panels.
  23. I bought a cheaper version of draggin/hood jeans off ebay for £38 delivered, and the kevlar inside is pretty strong and thick enough to last as long as leathers down the road. Also it came with added pockets inside to add hip protector and knee protectors. A utter bargain compared to hood/draggin jeans but the only problem is you can tell there kevlar jeans, unlike some of the newer more known brands that hide stiching for the kevlar
  24. I'm going to make a 2 stage foam filter in a beer can next. With a cold air feed going to the front of the bike
  25. Its a 1999 Kymco Stryker, and the airbox was knackered and was not sealing. So now I have a universal cone filter, and to restrict the air flow until I get a bigger jet, I have made this; http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n281/djowen01/IMG00111.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n281/djowen01/IMG00112.jpg It actually works and sounds mental now for a 125 4 stroke.
