  1. even better ones do it three times
  2. Sounds like coil pack, the reason is that I have had the same problem, it is not a fully developed problem, it comes and goes, I finally managed to track it down and with a new coil pack the problem dissolved. Jet washing never helped either. The problem occurs in both dry and wet weather and causes cylinders to drop and the engine to sound really deep and underpowered. Anthony
  3. make sure the bike is warm, oil comes out easily, then when you take the sump nut out, leave if for an hour to drain (obv on flat ground), this makes sure the majority of the oil is out. While your doing that, fit plugs, inspect the old ones for signs of bad fueling (back of haynes manual will help). Take filter off after a good hour of the sump nut coming off. After servicing, go over your bike and cheack every thing is in good order clean and lube chain etc and then happy biking
  4. i have a tight spot in my chain, slowly its being worked out with every wash as i clean and lube up the chain every 100miles or so
  5. not quite sure what the problem is though, is taking power from the battery a prob or is it causing one? using the lights draws more current from the battery or engine and hence you might, on smaller engine bikes notice a change in the overall feel of the bike, nothing to worry about though Hope this helps
  6. i know what you mean, i had that feeling on my bandit6, turned out to be a slightly deflated tyre and worn head bearings, cheap fix and brought the bike back to life. Its an un-nerving feeling so get it sorted before the summer "thrash" in the sun xD
  7. Putting an aftermarket can and a free flow filter will mean your bike will probably f**k up at around 4,000rpm and will not run properly been there done that
  8. Glad to hear your ok i hate braking on white lines be it softly or not, always makes uneasy, and obv it can take you out did you ever find out why mr van slowed down.?
  9. Could be too much fuel getting through, check the float heights as they might be wrong, as that could either starve or over feed the engine
  10. My sister owns as the title says, a scooter, however, it is drinking petrol likes its going out of date, and i mean less then 40mpg out of something that should be gettin a stupidly high mpg what could cause such an economical figure?
  11. Anthony

    abba stand

i used to run the bike but i had enough space to lube without getting my fingers close, with my 1200 now the tyre occupies that space so there is no room so its back to the good old manual spinning to be on the safe side
  12. if you get a garage to do it they will charge more then your time is worth compared with selling it, i'd love a bike like that for a challenge but i just cant afford it i just love the feeling of completeing it
  13. sorry, just stating the obv lol
  14. get the key??
  15. the smoke is due to a weak seal so it can escape, the smoke goes as it becomes clear due to engine being warm, ebay will sort you out with a cheap exhaust
