Just tried a pair of Sidi Vertigo's on this afternoon.... Think i'm going to go with a pair of them. Found them a lot more comfortable and a better fit than the Arlen Ness and Alpinestars. More expensive too which is typical!! Quite small fitting; usually buy a 10, need an 11 in these

Well, that's the theory all done, had a couple of questions i hadn't seen before but was still ok. Had a lesson for the mod 1 this afternoon too, went really well. It was my first time riding a 500 and i must say, it's far easier than the 125's, a lot more stable and easier to ride slow on etc. Bought myself a new helmet for being a good lad afterwards too

Theory test in the morning Been doing plenty of revision so fingers crossed!

What does everyone wear underneath their leather jacket? When trying on leathers with a t-shirt on, I've found that a size 40 jacket in some brands is a little tight (with the thermal layer still in). When i tried it without the thermal layer it fitted a little better (with a bit of stretch it would be ok i think). When i tried a 42 it felt a little bit too big even with the thermal layer in.... I won't be riding in cold weather, so i'm hoping i won't need too much on underneath providing leathers keep you warm during the warmer months!!! Am i doing the right thing by trying jackets on with only a t-shirt underneath?

That's it, the bug is well and truely back!!! Did the CBT today, really enjoyed it after not riding for 12 years!! Felt great to be back out on the road. I feel like i've been lucky today really as i did the road ride with John (York Rider Training) on a one-to-one basis. This was because he wanted the bike i was on back at his house after the ride out; then he gave me a lift back to the training place on his bike As it was a one-to-one, i feel like it turned into a bit of a lesson towards the mod 1 & 2. Got some really good feedback, a couple of bits that i was a bit rusty on, but he said i should jump straight on a 500cc for a couple of lessons ready for the mod 1 test Looking forward to the theory on the 10th April

Tried some of the RST Fusion and Razor leathers on today.... They seemed quite nice, the leather seemed to be a bit thicker and not as soft as the HG ones.... I suppose they will just take a bit longer to stretch / fit me properly. They were half the price of the HG PSX Competition ones too ..... And they look a bit cooler Wanted to try the Alpinestars Monza 2 Piece but they didn't fit in the sizes they had available (seem to be a smaller fitting). Any other 2 piece suit worth trying? (I'm 6' 3" and a lanky fooker )

I've got a few spare hours tomorrow morning while the Mrs is at work in Leeds, so i want to get round some biking gear shops and try and decide which leathers to go for. Can anyone recommend any shops in the Leeds / Bradford area that has a wide selection of brands for me to try? Or even a few different shops i can go to? Cheers in advance!
