  1. Hi. Im eighty one and a lot late to motor cycling. Im currently riding a Honda CB125R. This coming September I will need to compleat my fourth CBT as Im on L plates and have no interest in trying to pass the expensive and complicated riding test. I've had four bikes and three were brand new. I find it frustating that Im restricted to 125cc. On the flat the Honda will easily do 70mph, however when I come to a hill or into wind Im holding traffic up behind me and Im regularly tail gated, that puts me and the other motorists around me in uninvited danger. The legislators are not going to listen to me if I ask, please can I have a bit more HP to get me out of danger. They like some other well known eco zealots are only interested in EVs. So Im thinking of getting a trike as my next new buy, because I passed my car test years ago that means no L plates, no CBT, motorway riding and having the company of a pillion passenger. I watched a recent MAG video and it was obvious whats on the horizon for us bikers if we roll over and let it happen. I want to feel the fun of having something hot and throbbing between me legs and not something with no gears and the sound of my wifes hoover. Regards. Allen.
  2. Hi. I like your east side route. Whichever route you decide the experience is going to be great. I wish I was going with you. However on your own you're the master of your own destiny, Divert, stop and restart whenever you want. This is just my own personal bit, instead of doing Beverley/Scarborough I would have ventured, Beverley/Market Weighton/York. You're then at the gateway to the North Yorkshire Dales. Onwards through the Lakes on the final leg. Take care ride safe and enjoy. Report back when done, whichever you route you take.
  3. Hi. Granddad used to say "watch out for these f###ers". I had to be carefull as to what I said to my mum when we got back home. Hence the word "Effers". Got it..
  4. Hi. Out for an evening ride around Whitby away from some of the traffic chaos and came across these hooligans been pushed along the road by the car. I've had problems before so I decided to treat them with the respect they deserve. One of my friend later told me they were heifers. Thats what me granddad used to call em but I knew what he meant and thats what I would have called em if they'd clattered me bike. Regards.
  5. Hi. Just finished watching some vids on the E clutch. Curently it's a hundred pound option on two CBR bikes. One of the presenters suggeted it could be made to be a bolt on option with all the plug and play ecu etc stuff all ready to attach. One of the Honda engineers intimated, rightly so, it could be fitted to more bikes as time goes on. Im well interested to see how the future works out. Im a bit long in the tooth now and my feet work better than my hands. Im on small bikes due to the weight, the bikes, not me. I would jump straight away for the smaller bike with this E Clutch if it became available. Get weaving Honda, time is short Thanks for the info. Regards.
  6. Hi. Are there any members out there who have had a ride on a bike fitted with the above. If yes please can you pass on what it performed like. Im committed to my Neo Classic 125, its three years old but Im going to hang on to it, see if Honda have plans to fit it to more bikes in their range. Regards.
  7. Hi. I have one fortunately. Shortly after taking that pic after a ride out this morning round Whitby it started to pour down. It's still at it now. Regards.
  8. Hi. Widen the gate was the answer. I can ride the bike in and out now. Coming in forwards, onto the side stand, balance the bike and whizz it round so it stands right upto the wall, left of picture. Got mates rates as well. Cheers.
  9. Widen the gate it is.
  10. Hi. I have a 2021 Honda CB125R which I keep off street in a rear yard for security. The yard gate is under 3 feet wide post to post. Getting in and out is a bit of a struggle. I have to lean the bike and quarter turn the bars to get it in and out. Advice required regarding retractable mirrors as its them thats more a problem than the bar ends. My little Yamaha YZF125R had folding mirrors and was a treat in tight spaces. Has anyone out there fitted and had success with retractables, that either retract up over or back. Info please where best to get some and female screw size would be appreciated. Regards.
  11. Eh up. Cheap lid. No chance of a repair. Chastsized. Pee taken out of me. Im off for a pint. See you tomorrow. Cheers.
  12. Hi. I have to agree, thanks for the advice. I bought cheap and Im now paying the penalty. Cheers. Granty.
  13. Hi all. Ive manged to break the visor latch on the above. Checked with supplier and no spares at present. Im hoping to keep using the helmet with goggles. With the visor off it looks similar to a motocross helmet without a peak. Any goggles users out there. I wear specs so I want some thing that will over the opening and not inside it. Advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards. Granty.
  14. Hi. Been down to pub had a couple of pints. Went out with a couple of quid and I've come back with £1.50, and a packet of chips. PS. Sold jeans for ninety quid. Regards.
