  1. I ordered a new clutch cable and it was fitted whilst I was on holiday by my uncle, my clutch is nice and loose again now like back in the old days. The problem still persists though so I'll have to order some new clutch plates, thanks for the help mate
  2. Whenever I go to change gear my clutch is sometimes really loose, or really tight, it seems to be randomly changing whilst I'm riding. Now this is causing a whole lot of problems, like when I'm changing down a gear it thinks I haven't pulled the clutch in so it kind of rams it in, and when I'm completely still with the clutch pulled in the bike will start rolling forward. The clutch cable I currently have in the bike is less than a year old so I couldn't see that being the problem. The bike is a Yamaha DT 125 R, let me know what you think
  3. Okay so I've found out that is the cause of the problem, is there an official name for that spring as I can't seem to find them anywhere on the internet?
  4. When I first saw the mess on my bike a while back I thought it was from an oil change or something, however today I needed to charge my battery up because it's flat. I disconnected the battery and noticed fresh oil on the back and top of it, it looks like my exhaust pipe is leaking a little bit. I'm thinking because I'm missing one of those metal coils around the join area however I'm not 100% sure, here is an image: http://i.imgur.com/NlJTD.jpg Can somebody confirm what my problem may be? The bike is a Yamaha DT 125 R
  5. Awesome cheers, I just went and picked some of that up, a ton of it left so I'll do what you suggested
  6. Today I had a massive cock up with the oil in my Yamaha DTR 125. Long story short my dad told me to put 2 stroke engine oil into the gear box, which I did. Needless to say that is NOT what your meant to do and can mess up your clutch, my uncle told me that, so I've emptied it out. At the moment I'm not sure if my clutch plates are going to need a replacement and I thought I would ask you guys. I know there are two types of clutch, wet and dry. If you put engine oil into one of them you can damage your clutch disks however I don't know which one is the dangerous one. My clutch type is wet so will my clutch plates be okay? Thanks in advance, Ben
