Ok so I apologise if this os already on here if it's the wrong place but I've been reading that they are think of changing the test structure around and incorporating mod1 and 2 together is there any truth to this or has it already happened?? Cheers

i did find a kit online actually just googled it out of curiosity and there were two options one was 1) EBC CK Series Clutch Plate Kit - £58.49 2) EBC CK Series Clutch Plate Kit & CSK Spring Kit - £67.99 am not the most mechanic minded person so i aint got a clue what the difference is besides one comes with springs :S any chance you could explain if you know??

Hey guys Ok so i am looking at getting my first bike and i am after a yamaha Thundercat. I have found one which is very reasonably priced and has very good mileage for the year. in the description of the bike it states that the "Engine and gearbox are spot on, although the clutch is starting to slip". I have asked him about this and how much he thinks it would cost to rectify the situation and his reply was this "The clutch is about £45 for a pattern replacement plus about £10 for a gasket, this is seperate to the gearbox which is fine" I am bascially just wondering if this information is correct or if there is anything else that could help or that would need to be considered if the clutch is indeed slipping. many thanks guys

Hey Guys finally ave booked me MOD 1 and its quite a fare way away i was just wondering if i clicked the link on the email confirmation i got from the DSA that says "change/cancel your appointment" is that how i would get an earlier test if one becomes available?? cheer guys

I've heard of easyrider but not the other 2 sorry. with easyrider ave not heard any comment son them though i only know them by name. best bet would be to ring them all and way up what they say am sure you could post in here and get some help on deciding but ultimtately its who YOU think your gunna be happy with. when picking i mine i went on reputation but also on price, it may also be worth actually going to the schools and having a chat with the instructors hope this helps

ok cool thanks for your help, i just dont see why they could put a bit more info in there though like "big bike - unresrticted" or "light bike - up to 125" but hey thats just me being picky lol

so you think "Big Bike" is the one to go for considering i want to do it on a 500??

ok so i'm trying to book my MOD 1 for direct access and when i go on the DSA.gov site to book it i get several options which one should i pick?? the options are: Light Bike MOD 1 Standard Bike MOD 1 and Big Bike MOD 1 i'm confident its not light bike but which of the other 2 is it??

The school I am using has the slalom set up but we rode to a very large unused car park ad practiced the emergency stop and U-turns also tried the swerve a few times was a crude set up though as the instructor set up his gloves as the cones and we used the parking bays as the "trap"

ok so i had my 3rd lesson today on the 500 and was advised by my instructor to book my MOD 1 as he feels i'm ready, the only problem is i have never been to the test centre. The only MOD 1 stuff i have done is the slalom and figure 8, emergency stop and U-turns as well as practicing evasive steering on country lanes at speed (this being my swerve test practice). I did mention to him today about going the test centre and he said it wasnt problem but i got the indication he ment to watch not to have a practice. now i have a friend who has passed and he went to the test centre and got to have a few practice tests but yet my instructor hasnt mentioned it. am i best of waiting or should i listen to my instructor and book my MOD 1. He did say that we would do a full 2 hour lesson the day before my test and also have an hour before test on the day to practice. any opinions or commecnts would be helpful cheers guys

Just an update guys trident riding today with the balls of my feet on the peg and found this much more comfortable also found I could access the brake pedal no worries Thanks for your help guys

Right well there's Aintree motorcycle by the race course which you can get to just down the 57 or Almaxx which is though melling way by ashworth hospital again can be gotten to from the 57 if the ho through kirkby Or you could just google bike schools in Liverpool you'll get a fair few
