That's certainly something to work torwards, tho your list is looking quite impressive so far...or not so impressive...I'm not sure hahaha! You certainly get points for experience!!! Btw, what's a stoppie?? Thanks, biking has been fun and addictive, always craving for more fun experiences Stoppie- using the front brake soo much that the back end of the bike goes up off the ground and possibly flips over
-
Did a stoppie when i grabed my front brake and clutch at the same time when someone switched lanes in front of me and I wasnt expecting it, dont want to do that again. I thought I got my peg down on a roundabout but after a few seconds realised it was just my toe, started moving about on the bike more now when I'm going for spirited rides. Got the back to slide out when I was standing on my pegs cos of small annoying speedbumps in an industrial park and accidently changed down to first instead of going up into third, locked up the back wheel and the back came out, that felt good and exciting. Also got the back out yesterday a little bit when i spun up my rear just after a corner in the wet (first time on my 600 in the wet), that felt good as well lol. Left a huge skid mark in the mod 1 test centre - It had rained earlier so it was wet, emergency stop time and I reached my hand round the throttle more than normal to give it almost full throttle when getting out of the bend, hit 67kph through the speed trap but used too much back brake and locked up the back wheel but by the time i noticed it was locked, it started sliding out so I just controled it somehow (this was after my first back end slide experience so that helped prepare me) and after the bike had gone side to side about 4 times it straightened out and I reapplied the back brake and stopped nicely beside the examiner, the examiner had to fail me cos it was such a long skid but said if it was an exercise in controling the bike after losing traction I would have passed amazingly Hmm 4 out of 7, 3 more things on ym to-do list now

any iPhone users using bluetooth kits?
Namso replied to mic's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
I pair my iPhone to this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sony-Ericsson-MW600-MW-600-Bluetooth-Hi-Fi-Wireless-FM-Radio-Headset-Black-/271022804828?pt=UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item3f1a37cf5c It works but if there is no sound coming from the iphone then the headphones seem to go into a power saving mode and then when the satnav directions start you miss the first 1 or 2 seconds of it while it wakes up (not sure if this is a problem with the headphones or bluetooth), when i need satnav i put music on as well so the headset is always on so that sorts it for me. Oh and when i mess about trying to call someone using the headset it all just stops working now (the headset is almost a year old) and i need to switch it off and on again to fix it, but this has only happened at home when im messing about with it. When I answer calls on the bike (hardly ever) it all works fine. Hope this helps -
Thanks for the advice, I got myself a manual and ive been building up confidence doing things to the bike when needed (chain adjustment, oil change, etc) When I originally posted this I had only just entered the world of biking

Make sure you are careful with the hard drives, they dont like bumpy roads and off road jumps

will you actually make this product or is it just theory for your course. Flexible displays have been created but are not commericially available yet just to let you know

Thanks guys, I took the bike to a garage and the guy was helpful and choped out the melted fuse holder and replaced it with a heavy duty one and put the right fuses in, the bike rode fine on the way there and back so my chain adjustment was a sucess with no misaligned back wheel feels good to do some work on the bike but wont be going back to a garage any time soon because of costs (£40 labour £10 parts )

Lights on my bike were not working so went to check the fuses. I have a cbr125r 2004 model and it was easy enought to get to the fuses (under the rider seat), there is 1 main fuse which should be 30A and a black of 3 smaller fuses behind that which are all 10A, one of the fuses had melted and the housing for the fuse is plastic so I cant remove/replace the fuse, I think I'll have to replace that whole plastic block section but cant find the part online, can anyone help with that? Also the main fuse should be 30A but after checking, there was a 10A fuse in there! I left it in there because I started thinking there might be some sort of electrical issue with the bike hence why the previous owner only put a 10A fuse in because he knew a 30A would show up some issue with the bike, am I right in thinking this or should I replace it with the proper 30A fuse? (I've had the bike for 4 months with no electrical issue at all) Plus I adjusted my chain for the first time today which felt good... until I realised the back wheel was now misaligned but after some more very difficult spanner work in the confinds of my corridor I managed to realign it (A misaligned wheel would wobble about right? I had the bike on a paddock stand and put it in gear and the wheel looked fine at slow and medium speeds)

K&N air filter is only £20ish but dunno if that will give any noticeable difference, if it doesnt then give up on the cbr, pass your test and get a bigger bike (then turbo and NoS it )

Just hoping I didn't miss out on a better deal lol

I thought they only had them for a little while, you got a link?

Got my first pair of motorbike boots in the post today they are Sidi but no idea on which model. I used to wear trainers on my bike and thought they felt normal but riding with proper boots feels so much safer and stops my ankles getting cold lol
