  1. Anyone have advice on a good rain off product for my visor?
  2. So as the mornings get lighter and the weather has improved. Ive started taking my bike to work. Just wondering if its normal, I just passed my test in October and I'm a little wary on the bike in general. Mostly large corners on the motorway I slow down to the recomended speed 30/50 whatever it is. In a car I prob chuck it round there at 50/70 I guess I am best just riding to what I think is my capability until I feel I can push it more. Also I'm a little nervous about filtering. There is built up traffic to and from work but so far I have just riden like I drive a car stayed in my lane. Is it just experience and confidence on the bike? Was just looking for your advice/thoughts? Thanks peeps
  3. Thanks oh and yeah av sat on it and I like the bike just trying to see if I can get a bit off lol
  4. Hi peeps, Decided on the bike I want to buy it’s second hand being sold at a bike shop. If I wait till Jan will it go down in price? Or is now the best time to buy? of course if I wait I might miss out altogether but happy to take that risk thanks in advance
  5. Yeah Edin is closest a was in a few weeks ago might go back in and try it out
  6. Hi all, I recently passed my full license and therefore looking to upgrade from my 125. Im looking for cruiser style so I have 3 in mind. just for info Im 46 driving for 25 plus years. I rode my 125 for 2 years 4000 miles ish. Honda Rebel 500 Honda Rebel 1100 Harley Davidson Nightster what’s your thoughts as I’m still learning do I just go for the 500. Or am I best just skipping that and jumping on something bigger??? I know it’s different for everyone but interested on what the consensus would be thanks in advance
  7. Hi all, So with the CBT running out on Saturday (tomorrow) I decided to have one last crack at the MOD 2 test yesterday. Third times a charm. Passed with 5 minors. Woo hoo. Definately if at first you dont suceed try, try, try again
  8. Had my second attempt at my MOD2 on Wednesday. Failed again. First test went reasonably well but I did feel a bit nervous however I did have training with the bike school all morning so was really used to the bike. Failed with a serious fault I speed up in a 20 up to 30 odd MPH as I headed into a 40MPH. Apart from that 2 minors. Also went over a junction without looking. so anyway second try on Wednesday past. Did not feel nervous this time. Get the usual speak show me tell me. We go out the test centre about 10 minutes in asked to pull over for an angle start. I thought it was a bit tight between cars but anyway pulled up and inexplicably lost balance and the bike fell. Absolute embarrassment. The examiner did say normally he woulda left me there to get picked up but told him a was fine and we rode back to the test centre. He said had a serious fault anyway before that as a didn’t look left at a junction. A bit demoralised atm. My cbt runs out the end of this month. Not sure of a should just leave it or not
  9. Had plenty today a few hours this morning and 40 min before the test
  10. Just back from the MOD2 test which I stupidly FAILED . I can make excuses but just me not paying the proper attention. I got asked to pull to the side which you do a few times on the test. And then asked to move away. Which I did fine. But for some idiot reason I seen the 40mph in front of me and sped up forgetting I was still in a 20mph serious fault. Later, and again I know am making excuses but missed a junction. Not familiar with the are, Was not very clearly marked on the road and if the examiner had said left or right I woulda noticed it but as he said straight on I just went across without observations Dangerous fault. Apart from that 2 minors retest booked 9th October If at first you don’t succeed …..
  11. Thanks all for the positivity and the helpful advice
  12. Have my MOD2 tomorrow. Get some training beforehand. I have clocked up 4000 miles over 2 years on the 125 but still feeling a bit worried about observations and positioning. Will let you know how it goes
  13. I meant to let you all know. Passed MOD1 second time of asking. Lost a bit of control on U turn but not enough to put ma foot down and fail. MOD2 on Thursday
  14. Well had MOD1 this morning. Anxious about slow manoeuvres and the U turn. turned up to the training site. Got a wee play on the bike. Frustrating myself on u turns and figure of 8’s went for a little ride out and then to the test centre. Bike parked up wait on the examiner. he does his bit right this is it. parked up manual manoeuvre completed. slalom and figure of 8 completed ow ride and U turn completed yass now its the stuff I can do. speed fine controlled stop.completed speed fine emergency stop completed speed fine swerve. Hit cone FAIL ffs av never in all the practice hit a cone in all the times . rebooked let’s try again
  15. Well training booked 24th and MOD1 booked 27th fingers crossed thanks everyone
  16. Thanks all for the replies. Crack Monkey
  17. Hi all, Apologies this has probably been posted somewhere else. So been riding my 125 for 18 months. About 4000 miles. I’m 46. 20 plus years driving experience. Question. Which I know is subjective but how easy/difficult is it to ride a bigger bike. Thinking of going for my Direct Access Course
  18. Will have a look at Michellin though thanks
  19. Read that the stock tyres are poor in the rain. And to be honest I didn’t feel comfortable riding in the rain. It could just be me as I don’t ride a lot in the rain or was thinking the tyres as read a lot that they are not great in the wet. general consensus was city demons were the way to go hence my query
  20. Hi all, I have a wee Outlaw 125 Looking to replace my stock tyres with Pirelli City Demons per recommendations. Only 2000 miles in but after a rainy ride the other day I didn’t feel comfortable at all on the road. So stock back tyre is 140/90 15 Stock Front tyre is 90/90 18 (3.00/3.25 -18) Will the highlighted tyres in yellow in the image fit my bike with original tubing? Just worried there is some size differences from stock. Thanks in advance for your help
  21. Welcome .
  22. Temp word blindness lol thanks for the clarification sir
  23. I read that you need 2 years on A2 before you can take the direct access though? That’s the requirement anyway from ProScot? if am reading it right?
  24. Hi, easy question for you all. passed my CBT in October. Already thinking could do with a bit more oomph. I’m 45 years old. 20 years plus driving experience… is my next step A2 license? thanks in advance

So I completed my CBT last year October and proceeded to buy myself a bike. weather has been rubbish and my gloves were not up to the weather only out a few times. Monday however I invested in Keis heated gloves. Did my first full week commute as the weather in Scotland had been fair. am well chuffed 200 miles completed and defo feeling a tad more confident now. Still lots to learn but enjoyed it
