  1. Just bear in mind that if you have a problem with anything you buy from these places/events, it could be tricky to exchange/replace etc
  2. They possibly could, but as long as you 'feed' the leather with oil/wax it should keep it supple enough for that not to happen. If drying them at home, keep away from heaters/radiators and let them dry at room temperature
  3. I'm with QB - better to get out and try on, as sizes vary a lot between brands - mostly I find I need bigger than I would in ordinary clothes!
  4. Yes, you're a tart!!!!!! Nah - look pretty smart Phil!!
  5. Come on all you lot North of the Border!!!!! This is your BIG chance to get those fantastic places up there tagged, and stop the Southerners moaning!!
  6. No worries - will do. Wondered about putting up a thread to see if anyone has the expertise/means to get one done cheaply?? What do you reckon?
  7. Well done so far! There's a jobsworth in every establishment - sounds like you found him!
  8. I know we've talked about this before, but really think we need a TMBF banner for our stand. How are the coffers fixed for getting one made, or does it need to be a DIY job?? Maybe a forum member is in the right sort of business to make us one??
  9. Think it would be great if we could get some 125 riders there with their bikes too - just to show that we welcome everyone - just what biking is all about! Would bring mine but it'd take me 3 weeks to get there!
  10. Would be great if you can join us! You need to PM Techno to find out if there's any camping spaces left.
  11. sounds good but again see what work is like closer to the time, are some peeps staying over if so were? Was meaning maybe having handouts for the Motor Show - to educate would-be bikers into training etc
  12. One thing that came to mind was last year I noticed quite a few youngsters sort of lingering - almost afraid to show an interest. Wondered if we could maybe produce some sort of handout - an 'Introduction To Biking' for interested people?
  13. Hiya Not sure if we'll make it to Llangollen this year I know we're busy on the Saturday/Saturday night and could well be rather hungover on the Sunday! I'll leave it to the Boss to make a decision!
  14. Great day of racing all round - BSB, WSB and Moto GP!!! Some fantastic battles and class riding in all the races!!
  15. Definitely go with Mojo - more choice for us girlies! It almost seems that in a lot of bike stores/sites, lady riders are a bit of an afterthought. I would buy clothing on the internet if the price was good - including postage, but only after I'd been able to try on elsewhere. Certainly wouldn't buy helmet on the internet - it's so important that they fit well and are comfortable, and I'm not sure that I'd trust it hadn't been knocked in delivery. Maybe a good range of additional stuff - undergarments, back protectors etc too.
  16. Hi Fleat Of course you're welcome! Everyone is!! I'll wait for someone in the know to come along with the post code though It'd be really helpful if your location was in your profile too, then people can help out with a route for getting you there
  17. Have it on good information that the Stormy Petrel is definitely within an hours ride from Stoke. Rennie says a lot of people from Stoke go there Also The Bradford Arms and Bassetts Pole are just about an hours ride away See topic http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 20&t=14745
  18. Rally tickets have been sent out to those people I have addresses for, except for those that I'll see this weekend. If yours hasn't arrived by next week, please let me know
  19. It's bugging me - what does the © and T after peoples names mean???? Assuming © means camping but wtf is T?????
  20. Hi Tracey Obviously we'd like people to buy their tickets asap so we've got an idea of numbers to discuss with Lee at MFN. But If you can't organise things until nearer the time then that'll be ok. I'll make sure I hang onto a couple of tickets for you just in case. It'll be great if you can join us!!
  21. Nice one Roy!! They are lovely bikes - just disappointed about the security on that sort of bike. Maybe you can talk a bit of a deal Rick, if thats what you want BTW Rick, when we talked to the dealer he said that the SatNav deal was on the K8's not K9's - he said they'd reduced the price of the bike instead of giving away SatNav
  22. Are you looking to buy new Rick?? Rennie was looking at buying a new Bandit 1250GT - in his words 'a lot of bike for the money' We went to look at one - both sat on it & it was very nice, but what put Rennie off in the end was there was no security! No immobiliser or alarm on a brand new, top of the range bike is rather poor!! He would've wanted to put a hugger & scottoiler on too. Fazer's are probably a better quality build than the Bandit, but Rennie doesn't like the look of the new one!
  23. Would be great to see you! Even though you live near, are you gonna stay?????
  24. Could be tricky! Have you got anywhere at work where you could leave your suit and change when you get there?
